On 16 May 07 Nathan Coe, age 24, 27360 State
Route 7 Lot 10, Marietta, reported an acquaintance engaged
him in a verbal confrontation in the parking lot of Gates Green
Apartments that afternoon. Mr. Coe declined to pursue the matter
further (1001).
On 16 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Eddy requested
a summons for Elaine Hoffman, age 62, 12705 State Route 339,
Vincent, for theft. The affidavit for the summons states an
employee of White Oak Pharmacy viewed surveillance footage
on which Ms. Hoffman stole two vases, a lamp, a toothbrush
and hand lotion on 11 and 12 May 07. Ms. Hoffman admitted stealing
the items and stated she knew what she did was wrong.
On 16 May 07 Teri Wright, age 49, 60 Young
Road, Marietta, reported sometime since she cashed two checks
for her father on 12 May, the proceeds of the checks totaling
$3,000 were stolen from her father’s residence at 315
Smith Road, Marietta. This case remains under investigation
(296).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Michael Deems, age 25, 507 Ferguson Street, Marietta,
for OVI, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, criminal
damaging and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors.
Deems was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Hupp of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 16 May 07 at 3:00 am.
William Logan Schofield, age 45, 1331 Middlefork Lee Creek,
Bellville, WV, for a felony charge of OVI and a misdemeanor
charge of contempt. Schofield was arrested at Hardees in Belpre
by Sgt. Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16
May 07 at 11:00 am.
Herbert Leroy Nunn II, age 32, 845 County House Lane, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Nunn was arrested
in Marietta by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
16 May 07 at 11:33 am.
Norman David Kennedy, age 21, 304 Elm Street, Marietta, for
public indecency, a misdemeanor. Kennedy was arrested at his
residence by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16
May 07 at 2:40 pm.
Donald Lloyd Lott, age 45, 200 Greenhill Road, Marietta, for
OVI, speeding, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
all misdemeanors. Lott was arrested on State Route 7 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 16 May 07 at 8:45 pm.
Tyson Chad Hill, age 25, 175 Goose Run Road, Marietta, for
trafficking in drugs, a felony. Hill was arrested on State
Route 821 by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16
May 07 at 11:00 pm.
Marshall Charles Kremer, age 27, 119 Strecker Hill, Marietta,
for OVI, failure to signal and for failure to obey a traffic
control device, all misdemeanors. Kremer was arrested on State
Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 16 May 07 at 11:00 pm.
Walter Ricky Ayala, age 19, 228 Pike Street Apt. 666, Marietta,
for possession of drugs and speeding, both misdemeanors. Ayala
turned himself in to Corrections Officer Carr and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 16 May 07 at 11:54 pm.
