On 13 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a domestic dispute involving Goldie Brookover, age 46, 186
Main Street Lot 4, Lowell, and her twelve year old stepdaughter.
A witness informed Deputy Evans that Mrs. Brookover and her
stepdaughter were at her home and that Mrs. Brookover had been
drinking. After Mrs. Brookover consumed several drinks she
began blaming her marital problems on her stepdaughter and
moved toward the child in a threatening manner, claiming she
would beat her when they got home. The witness intervened as
Mrs. Brookover pushed the child to the floor. Determining the
child feared for her safety, Deputy Evans arrested Mrs. Brookover
for domestic violence. When transported to the Washington County
Jail Mrs. Brookover was found in possession of a marijuana
pipe and additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 13 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks arrested
Talonzo D. Reid, age 19, 18524 Newell Road, Shaker Heights,
OH, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of
drugs. Stopping Mr. Reid for speeding on US 50, Deputy Smeeks’ canine
indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle. During a search
of the vehicle Deputy Smeeks located a marijuana pipe in the
driver door pocket and a large bud of marijuana secreted under
the console of the gearshift.
On 13 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Evans arrested
Steven R. Burnfield, age 50, 338 Barrett-South Road, Vincent,
for OVI. Noticing Mr. Burnfield did not use a turn signal or
stop at the intersection of Spence Road and Brackenridge Road,
Deputy Evans stopped Mr. Burnfield in Barlow Township. Mr.
Burnfield had an odor of alcohol as well as bloodshot eyes.
Mr. Burnfield attempted but performed poorly on field sobriety
tests and was transported to the Washington County Jail where
he tested .111% BAC.
On 13 May 07 Cynthia Conger, age 50, 1305
Mill Creek Road, Coolville, reported sometime during the last
two weeks an unknown suspect(s) broke into a vacant farm house
she and her husband own at 975 State Route 550 in Bartlett.
From inside the home the suspect(s) stole tools, a hydraulic
jack, numerous plumbing fittings, electrical wire, a sweeper
and a piece of furniture. This case remains under investigation
(515).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Danny Leroy Herman, age 38, 184 Fourth Street, Lowell, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Herman was arrested at his
residence by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 13 May 07 at 2:45 pm.
Talonzo Delaondearmo Reid, age 19, 18524 Newell Road, Shaker
Heights, OH, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession
of drugs, both misdemeanors. Reid was arrested on US 50 near
the intersection of State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 07
at 4:25 pm.
