On 10 May 07 Lt. Wilson arrested Carmen L. Dansby, age 28, 710 Tenth Street, Cambridge, for OVI and for not stopping at a red light. Unable to stop in time at a red light, Ms. Dansby came to a stop in the middle of the intersection at Pike and Acme Streets. Lt. Wilson noticed an odor of alcohol on Ms. Dansby and administered field sobriety tests. Following Ms. Dansby’s poor performance on the tests she was transported to the Washington County Jail where she refused to submit a BAC test.

On 10 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Brian J. Taggart, age 38, 1133 Market Street Apt. 307, Parkersburg, for possessing less than 100 grams of marijuana. Mr. Taggart was a passenger in a vehicle Deputy Stackpole encountered near Rinks and had an odor of burnt marijuana. Granted permission to search each of the passengers for weapons, Deputy Stackpole found a small quantity of marijuana in Mr. Taggart’s pockets along with a marijuana roach.

On 10 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds issued a citation to Martha Knighten, age 38, 37336 State Route 26, Graysville, for failure to register. Deputy Reynolds stopped Ms. Knighten on State Route 7 near milepost thirty-one in Newport Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Timothy Jay Barton, age 31, 870 State Route 676, Stockport, for OVI and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Barton was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 May 07 at 2:50 am.

Carmen Lashawn Dansby, age 28, 710 Tenth Street, Cambridge, for OVI and for not stopping at a red light, both misdemeanors. Dansby was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 May 07 at 3:30 am.

Michael Anthony Porter, age 22, 304 Bellvue Street, Marietta, for driving under an OVI Suspended license, a misdemeanor. Porter was arrested on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 May 07 at 1:03 pm.

William Joseph Carter Sr., age 22, 302 Elm Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Carter was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 May 07 at 3:18 pm.

Aaron Freeman Farnsworth, age 22, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for assault and for obstructing official business, both misdemeanors. Farnsworth was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 May 07 at 10:30 pm.
