On 8 May 07 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff Morris assisted the Zanesville Police Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol in a pursuit that began in Zanesville when a vehicle failed to stop after a traffic violation. The pursuit continued on State Route 60 through Beverly and ended near milepost eighteen when the fourteen year old driver pulled to the side of the road. The teenager and the vehicle were later transported back to Zanesville by the Zanesville Police Department.

On 8 May 07 Tiffany A. Bloss, age 27, 1115 Lynch Church Road, Marietta, reported being assaulted by her live-in boyfriend Aaron J. McCutcheon, age 26. Ms. Bloss stated she awoke her boyfriend that morning to question him on a withdrawal from their checking account and an argument ensued. During the debate Mr. McCutcheon shoved his girlfriend down and slammed her head on the floor. Ms. Bloss fled but was again shoved onto the floor and struck in the head before escaping to a neighbor’s residence. Gone upon the arrival of Deputies, Mr. McCutcheon was later located, arrested for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail (592, 1299).

On 8 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Timothy J. Nelson, age 26, 54875 State Route 681, Reedsville, for operating a vehicle with registration that expired in Sep 05. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Nelson near milepost four on State Route 124 in Belpre Township.

On 8 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Joseph L. Hoffman, age 24, 1050 Fourth Street, Mason, WV, for driving under a license suspended for unpaid citations. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Hoffman on US 50 near State Route 555 in Belpre Township.

On 8 May 07 Travis Westfall, age 30, 28415 State Route 7, Marietta, reported he believes a tenant he evicted from his property at 1902 Sandhill Road, Marietta stole a regulator from a gas well while he was moving out. This case remains under investigation (1001).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Timothy Mackey, age 26, 1247 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for an appointment on 16 Apr 07.

Bessie L. Harman, age 42, 7643 J Bolender Road, Felicity, OH, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause on 23 Apr 07.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Aaron James McCutcheon, age 26, 1115 Lynch Church Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McCutcheon was arrested on Caywood Road by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 May 07 at 7:35 am.

Leroy Junior Clark, age 31, 628 Phillips Street, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants and breach of recognizance, both felonies. Clark was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Corrections Officer Young and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 May 07 at 2:15 pm.
