On 4 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins began an investigation after a fifteen year old Belpre resident revealed to him a student at Belpre High School handed him a plastic bag containing eight Adderall pills and asked him to hold them while he went to the school office.

On 4 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded to the scene of death of a sixty-seven year old Marietta resident. The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

On 4 May 07 Jeffrey J. Nelson, age 50, 540 King Avenue, Cutler, reported while he was delivering mail on his route on State Route 555 the driver of a dirt bike was following him and operating the motorcycle in an erratic manner. Once he returned to the post office Mr. Nelson stated the motorcycle rider taunted him, trying to induce a fight. This case remains under investigation (501).

Sunshine L. Farnsworth, age 22, 832 Saint Marys Avenue, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $202.80.

Samantha C. Lemon, age 25, 5109 State Route 555, Little Hocking, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $690.30.

William Powell, age 21, 1137 Stadium Drive Apt. 1, Parkersburg, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $227.50.

Thomas S. Rutter, age 44, 322 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $253.50.

Lovell A. Schaffer, age 28, 201 Main Street, Lower Salem, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,640.75.

James D. Warner, age 25, 608 ½ Second Street, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,443.

Ronald G. West, age 32, 5790 State Route 339, Vincent, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $118.30.

Sampson W. Williams, age 27, 412 10th Street, Rainelle, WV, for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for pretrial on 24 Apr 07.

Christopher M. Wolfe, age 29, 1323 40th Street, Parkersburg, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $318.50.

Jason W. Anastasia, age 26, 811 Front Street, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $110.50.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Keith Allen Drake, age 20, 402 Jefferson Square, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Drake was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 07 at 12:50 am.

Craig Ryan Wells, age 21, Route 1 Box 49, Mineral Wells, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wells was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 07 at 1:15 am.

Adam Eugene Drayer, age 23, 186 Mill Street Apt. 205, Athens, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Drayer was arrested at the Marietta Brewing Company in Marietta by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 07 at 1:50 am.

Michelle Ann Summers, age 41, 2468 Jericho Road, Walker, WV, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Summers was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 07 at 11:14 am.

Melissa Dawn Warrener, age 26, 290 Ridgewood Court Apt. D, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Warrener turned herself in to Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 07 at 3:00 pm.
