On 8 Apr 07 Bryan K. Scott, age 40, 290 Woodland Avenue, Marietta, reported that afternoon that he noticed the lock on his and three other storage units at 109 County House Lane were cut off. Mr. Scott stated no items appear to have been stolen from his unit. This case remains under investigation (1299).

On 8 Apr 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris arrested Thomas M. Stephens, age 37, 503 Tyson Lane, Pleasant City, OH, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stopped for following another vehicle too closely on Interstate 77, a canine indicated the presence of drugs in Mr. Thomas’ vehicle. A subsequent search yielded marijuana and rolling papers in the vehicle and a marijuana pipe in Mr. Thomas’ pocket.

On 8 Apr 07 Beverly D. Denton, age 52, 69 Raymond Street, Marietta, reported for the past several years she has consistently received items through the mail, UPS and FedEx that she did not order. Additionally, Ms. Denton stated the items are sent to her address but often contain vulgar or profane names. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 8 Apr 07 Norman L. Nichols Sr., age 58, 10974 Veto Road, Belpre, reported his son found a washing machine submerged and two bags of trash floating in a pond on his property. Mr. Nichols’ son identified a suspect from a piece of mail in the trash and Deputy Rhodes spoke to the suspect. The suspect stated a friend gave him permission to dispose of the trash at that location. Mr. Nichols declined to pursue the matter since the suspects offered to retrieve the debris.

On 8 Apr 07 Deputy Sheriff Sirianni responded to the scene of a domestic dispute at 885 State Route 555, Little Hocking. As Deputy Sirianni arrived, the alleged suspect, James S. Walraven, age 30, was leaving the scene in a Geo Metro. The victim, Mr. Walraven’s wife Shenandoah, age 32, stated her husband threw a plastic Mountain Dew bottle at her face after she commented to her eighteen month old daughter that her father was lazy. Mrs. Walraven indicated she feared for her safety and described how her husband knocked her to the floor and kicked her in the back. Charged with domestic violence, Mr. Walraven turned himself in and was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Cheney Danielle English, age 22, 1906 Latrobe Street Apt. A, Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. English was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 12:06 am.

Marcus Maurice Kimbrough, age 18, 402 Mulberry Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Kimbrough was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 3:36 am.

Aric Wayne Smith, age 35, 226 Redding Road, Georgetown, KY, for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Smith was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 4:34 am.

Sabrina Elaine Milliron, age 19, 728 Second Street, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Milliron was arrested on Colegate Drive in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 5:00 am.

Ashley Nicole Cline, age 19, 106 Wood Street, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol and for not wearing a seat belt, both misdemeanors. Cline was arrested on Glendale Road in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 5:57 am.

Joey Dean Brooks, age 18, 1187 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol and for not wearing a seat belt, both misdemeanors. Brooks was arrested on Glendale Road in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 6:12 am.

Jeremy Gale Davis, age 24, 416 Arnold Road, Cutler, for contempt of a court order, a felony. Davis was picked up in Monroe County by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 6:56 am.

Thomas Michael Stephens, age 37, 503 Tyson Lane, Pleasant City, OH, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Stephens was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 3:43 pm.

Carl Robert Burgett, age 29, Township Road 233, Summerfield OH, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Burgett was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 4:33 pm.

Dennis Edward Shahan Sr., age 45, 1215 Putnam Howe Drive, Belpre, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Shahan was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 9:36 pm.

Ryan Michael Urbania, age 19, 3965 Saint Marys Drive, Mineral Ridge, OH, for driving under a suspended license and for reckless operation, both misdemeanors. Urbania was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 07 at 11:19 pm.
