On 28 Mar 07 an employee of Bartlett Farmer’s
Bank, 8515 State Route 339, Barlow, reported an unknown individual
attempted to deposit fraudulent cashier’s checks drawn
on the bank. The suspect(s) attempted to deposit three checks,
each made out for $180,000, in banks in New Jersey, Texas and
New Mexico. This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 28 Mar 07 Don Gibson, age 67, 615 Federal
Road, Little Hocking, reported his personal information as
well as that of his wife have been used without their permission
since 2005. The suspect(s), believed to be in South Carolina,
have accrued charges in Mr. Gibson’s and his wife’s
name in excess of $100,000 by purchasing furniture, cellular
phones, a boat and five vehicles. This case remains under investigation
(8411).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
James E. Buck, age 49, 401 Lancaster Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing
to appear for a hearing on 3 Jan 07.
Heidi S. Willey, age 25, 540 Dewey Avenue, Cambridge, for
violating the terms of her probation by failing to show proof
of making $627 restitution or to serve 150 days in jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Alisha Dawn Small, age 26, State Route 339,
Waterford, for driving with fictitious plates, for failing
to obey the right of way and for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Small was
arrested on US 50 in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Mar 07
at 4:55 am.
Marvin Ray Ruble Jr., age 34, 12049 State
Route 26, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a felony.
Ruble was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Deputy Sheriff
Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Mar
07 at 9:45 am.
Chasity Dawn Willey, age 30, 634 Eighth Street, Cambridge,
for failure to appear, theft, forgery, misuse of a credit card
and attempted misuse of a credit card, all felonies. Willey
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 Mar 07 at 11:45 am.
