On 27 Mar 07 Renee L. Luke, age 25, 309 Main
Street, Lower Salem, reported a friend she loaned her license
plate has failed to return them. Ms. Luke stated she wrecked
her vehicle and a friend offered to tow it to his home but
that he needed the license plates to remain on the vehicle.
Twelve days have passed since her friend towed the vehicle
and her repeated attempts to contact him have failed. This
case remains under investigation (1203).
On 27 Mar 07 Debora K. Wingrove, age 51, 75
Vincent Avenue, Vincent, reported since December 2005 a former
family member has repeatedly used her personal information
without permission and has written several checks that overdrew
her account. This case remains under investigation (8411).
On 27 Mar 07 William B. Showalter, age 35,
7510 State Route 821, Whipple, reported he left the key in
His Honda Rancher ATV that was parked beside his garage and
that an unknown suspect(s) stole the four wheeler between 5
pm the previous day and 11 am that morning. This case remains
under investigation (1203).
On 27 Mar 07 William Putnam, age 44, 105 Huck
Road, Marietta, reported finding street signs for Muskingum
River Road, Pitt Road, Turkeyhen Road and Warren Chapel Road
next to his mailbox. Deputy Sheriff Norman took possession
of the signs and will return them to their respective townships.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dwight Keith Masters Jr., age 38, 612 Warren
Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines and for contempt of a court order,
both misdemeanors. Masters was arrested on Colegate Drive in
Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 07 at 7:20 am.
Roy Daniel McElfresh, age 23, 708 Goddard
Road, Cutler, for hit-skip, nonsupport of dependants and for
failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, all
felonies. McElfresh was arrested at the courthouse by Sgt.
Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 07
at 9:25 am.
Mary Elizabeth Pierson, age 56, 2209 Forest Dale, Cleveland,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Pierson
was arrested near milepost nine on Interstate 77 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 27 Mar 07 at 7:35 pm.
William Joseph Carter Sr., age 22, 144 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Carter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 07 at 11:55 pm.
Glenn Roger Johnson Jr., age 20, 116 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for underage consumption of alcohol and for violating the terms
of his probation, both misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested in
Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 07
at 11:55 pm.
