On 24 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Courtney N. Parsons, age 19, 33184 Malloons Run Road, Langsville, OH, for driving left of center. Deputy Mankins stopped Ms. Parsons on State Route 821 near Interstate 77 in Muskingum Township.

On 24 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks responded to the scene of death of an eighty-five year old Vincent resident. The woman’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

On 24 Mar 07 Sgt. Underwood was dispatched to a Roberts Road, Belpre residence in response to a suicide attempt. Transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital by the Little Hocking Fire Department, the twenty-three year old victim took a handful of prescription medication after what she stated was a bad week.

SUSPECT CHARGED IN DOMESTIC STABBING INCIDENT

Tara L. Worstell, age 33, 29725 State Route 7, Marietta, OH is being held in the Washington County Jail without bond after she was charged with an F1 Felonious Assault for allegedly stabbing her husband Brian D. Worstell, age 43, of the same address. Deputy Sheriff Matt Simmons responded to a call from Marietta Memorial Hospital concerning a patient who had been admitted with a collapsed lung due to a stab wound in the back. The investigation revealed Tara L. Worstell allegedly stabbed her husband in the back with an 8 inch kitchen butcher knife as he was attempting to leave the residence. Tara Worstell admitted to the incident and gave no explanation other than she was taking medication which caused her to have mood swings. She will appear in Marietta Municipal Court on Monday at 1:00 pm.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ashley Danielle Patel, age 21, 215 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Patel was arrested at the Double L in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 07 at 1:00 am.

Ryan Logan Patel, age 27, 215 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Patel was arrested at the Double L in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 07 at 1:00 am.

John Michael Ullom, age 44, 123 Fifth Street, Beverly, for OVI, contempt of a court order, falsification, resisting arrest and for driving left of center, all misdemeanors. Ullom was arrested on Fifth Street in Beverly by Patrolman Sams of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 07 at 4:15 am.

Tara Lynn Worstell, age 33, 29725 State Route 7, Marietta, for felonious assault. Worstell was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 07 at 10:22 am.

Kayleigh Quinn Ryder, age 21, 11030 Rainbow Lake Road, Athens, for operating with an expired license, failure to register and for a windshield/wiper violation, all misdemeanors. Ryder was arrested in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 07 at 7:37 pm.

Kyle Lewis Medlin, age 19, 1029 Woodland Avenue, Beverly, for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Medlin was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 07 at 10:50 pm.
