On 22 Mar 07 Jacob Dunbar, age 22, 47 Stanley
Street, Newport, reported sometime during the past five days
a Smith and Wesson .45 caliber pistol was stolen from his bedroom.
This case remains under investigation (409).
On 22 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Spencer requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Beverly resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for delinquency by domestic violence. During
an argument with her daughter over weekend plans and stereo
volume, the teenager pushed her mother and repeatedly struck
her in the chest and arms.
On 22 Mar 07 Lt. Canavan was dispatched to
the scene of a domestic dispute at 2123 Highland Ridge Road,
Lowell. Amy Dunfee, age 38, phoned for help after her husband
Anthony, age 31, head butted her several times and threatened
her life. Intervening because she feared her husband would
harm her children over a video game dispute, Mrs. Dunfee stated
the incident made her fear for safety and for that of her children.
As a result, Lt. Canavan arrested Mr. Dunfee for domestic violence
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 22 Mar 07 James Whealdon, 889 Whealdon
Road, Cutler, reported a tire and rim for his horse trailer
was stolen from next to his barn between 2 pm and 4 pm on 20
Mar 07. Witnesses informed Deputy Sheriff Staats that they
observed a blue Monte Carlo stop by the barn while the passenger
exited the car and grabbed the tire. Deputy Staats later identified
the driver of the Monte Carlo as Steven Pierce, age 18, 12500
State Route 690, Athens, and passenger as Hank A. Wells, age
19, 9299 State Route 555, Cutler. Mr. Pierce admitted the two
stole the tire to replace the donut spare tire on the rear
of his vehicle. Both suspects will be issued summonses to appear
in Municipal Court for theft.
On 22 Mar 07 Lt. Wilson issued a citation
to Natasha L. Lucas, age 20, 1732 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls,
for driving 90 mph in a 65 mph zone and for following another
vehicle too close. Lt. Wilson stopped Ms. Lucas on Interstate
77 near milepost seven in Muskingum Township.
On 22 Mar 07 Rodrick J. Hoopes, age 50, 10299
State Route 821, Lower Salem, reported while he was visiting
his father in Texas between 2 and 10 Mar 07 he believes a former
family member stole several silver coins from his bedroom and
tools from a barn on his property. This case remains under
investigation (1090).

Robert Eugene White II, age 52, 242 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt.
2, Marietta, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.
White was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Huffman of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 07 at 12:52 am.
Christopher Cody Perot, age 18, 725 ½ Front Street,
Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Perot was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 07
at 6:50 am.
Derek Allen Cope, age 18, 725 ½ Front Street, Marietta,
for burglary, a felony. Cope was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 07 at 7:05 am.
Christopher Timothy Lohr, age 20, 725 ½ Front Street,
Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Lohr was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 07
at 7:05 am.
Anthony William Kennedy, age 24, Marietta, for a felony charge
of theft and a misdemeanor charge of having an open container
of alcohol. Kennedy was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hilverding
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 07 at 10:50 am.
Eric Ellis Luke, age 20, 309 Maple Street, Marietta, for three
misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Luke was arrested
in Marietta by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
22 Mar 07 at 2:50 pm.
Anthony Earl Dunfee, age 31, 2123 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Dunfee was arrested at
his residence by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22
Mar 07 at 9:00 pm.
