On 19 Mar 07 Leslie A. Patterson, age 62, 475 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, reported between 6 pm on 14 Mar and 8:30 pm that evening an unknown suspect(s) entered his locked garage and removed a Honda Rancher ATV. This case remains under investigation (232).

On 19 Mar 07 the owner of R & R Rebuilders, 105 River Lane, Marietta, reported sometime since the morning of 15 Mar an unknown suspect(s) broke a window to enter the business. Once inside, the suspects stole mainly copper containing items, including field coils and electrical cords. Also in the building the owner noted it appeared the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to set fire to a box using various paper products on top of a wooden shelf. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 19 Mar 07 William M. Grubb, age 49, 55 Belavista Drive, Marietta, reported while he was at work that day an unknown suspect(s) entered a locked cargo trailer in his driveway and stole all of the motorcycle racing equipment from inside it. Stolen items at a loss of over $4,000 include protective clothing, an awning, a generator, cots and chairs. This case remains under investigation (107).

TWO SUSPECTS CHARGED

Two suspects are being held in the Washington County Jail after a series of incidents which occurred near Beverly, OH. Justin Cline, age 19, 3201 Buchanan Road, Waterford, OH and Norman Douglas Kennedy, age 21, 108 Riley Drive, Marietta were passengers in a vehicle which was stopped by Deputy Sheriff Evans. The two suspects fled the area and entered a residence in Beverly unknown to the home owner, went out an upstairs window onto a roof and jumped to the roof of an adjoining residence. Kennedy is being held on a parole violation charge from Franklin County. Cline is being held on several F4 possessions of stolen property and failure to appear in court. Additional charges concerning several other incidents are pending.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Shawn Michael Olivas, age 27, 413 Jaqueline Drive, Byesville, for OVI and for reckless operation, both misdemeanors. Olivas was arrested on State Route 821 in Macksburg by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 12:10 am.

Phillip Wayne Kinzel, age 28, 2570 Vickers Road, Marietta, for using a weapon while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Kinzel was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 1:20 am.

Shawn Gale Thomas, age 37, 416 Mulberry Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Thomas was arrested on Butler Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 2:00 am.

Joshua James Yencha, age 21, 1011 32nd Street, Parkersburg, for failing to stop at a red light, speeding and for two counts of operating without a license, all misdemeanors. Yencha was arrested on Acme Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 2:25 am.

Donald Eugene Dennis II, age 42, 717 Cisler Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Dennis was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 9:15 am.

Norman Douglas Kennedy, age 21, 108 Riley Drive, Marietta, for felony charges of violating the terms of his probation and parole. Kennedy was arrested on Third Street in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 1:30 pm.

Kim Elaine Blake, age 40, 517 Eighth Street Apt. B, Moundsville, WV, for driving under a suspended license and for failure to control, both misdemeanors. Blake was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 3:24 pm.

Justin Michael Cline, age 20, 11 Watertown Road, Waterford, for felony charges of resisting arrest and receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Cline was arrested on Third Street in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 5:48 pm.

Eric Wayne Morris, age 25, 80 Smith Drive, Marietta, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Morris was picked up at the Southeastern Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 6:02 pm.

Kenneth Euwell Devaughn, age 22, 1958 Old Coventry East Road, Columbus, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Devaughn was arrested at the courthouse by Captain Brum of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 6:15 pm.

Steven Allen Dillon, age 21, 55011 Hudson Road, Reedsville, for failure to appear, possession of drugs and for two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Dillon was arrested on Tick Ridge Road by Sgt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 07 at 6:31 pm.
