On 13 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Spencer requested
a warrant for Lori McClaskey, age 36, 35B Islandview Drive,
Parkersburg, for violating the terms of a protection order.
Deputy Spencer’s affidavit alleges on 12 Mar 07 Ms. McClaskey
phoned the protected party, a Belpre resident, and threatened
her. Ms. McClaskey admitted placing the phone calls but denied
threatening the victim.
On 13 Mar 07 a Barlow Township trustee reported
the street signs at the intersection of Smith Road and Bell
Road were stolen sometime since the morning of 11 Mar 07. This
case remains under investigation (1090).
On 13 Mar 07 Angel C. Conley, age 22, 20 Dye
Street, Newport, reported when she returned to her residence
after being away since mid-February she found her apartment
ransacked and in total disarray. Ms. Conley stated her dishes
were broken, flour covered the floor, everything in the kitchen
cabinets were thrown on the floor and five LP records were
stolen. This case remains under investigation (1001, 1203).
On 13 Mar 07 Lt. Wilson requested a summons
for Joshua R. Uppole, age 23, 1928 Worthington Street, Parkersburg,
for possession of drug paraphernalia. Stopping Mr. Uppole for
not having a license plate light on 10 Mar 07, Lt. Wilson smelled
the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from Mr. Uppole’s
vehicle. During an ensuing search of Mr. Uppole’s vehicle,
Lt. Wilson discovered a marijuana pipe that Mr. Uppole admitted
he used to smoke marijuana prior to the traffic stop.
On 13 Mar 07 Clinton L. Purkey, age 32, 5870
State Route 26, Marietta, reported sometime since 11 pm the
prior evening a green Artic Cat four wheeler was stolen from
his front yard. This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 13 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Malone responded
to the scene of death of a forty-seven year old Lowell resident.
Though no foul play is suspected, this case remains under investigation.
On 13 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole requested
a summons for Wayne A. Rhodes, age 18, 820 Mill Branch Road,
Belpre, for theft. The summons alleges that Mr. Rhodes fled
Hocking Tire Center that afternoon without paying for four
new tires on his Ford Focus.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Fredrick Frazier, age 56, 803 Second Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for a felony charge of possession of drugs and misdemeanor
charges of OVI, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia
and driving outside the marked lanes of travel. Frazier was
arrested on Front Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13
Mar 07 at 2:41 am.
Timothy Lee Alexander, age 25, 4504 Blue Largo Court, Gahanna,
OH, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Alexander
was arrested on Main Street in Belpre by Patrolman Jobes of
the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 13 Mar 07 at 7:40 am.
Kayleigh Quinn Ryder, age 21, 11030 Rainbow
Road, Waterford, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Ryder
was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Fields of the Belpre City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Mar 07 at 3:25 pm.
Michelle Lynn Paul, age 35, 409 Maple Street, Marietta, for
passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Paul turned herself in to
Patrolman Wenzel at the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Mar 07 at 7:15
pm.
