On 4 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded
to the scene of death of a thirty-five year old Marietta resident.
Though no foul play is suspected, this case remains under investigation.
On 4 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Collins requested
summonses for Joshua W. Burton, age 27, 603 Cheery Avenue,
Williamstown, and Joseph L. Sindledecker, age 30, 1328 Lynn
Street, Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct by fighting. The
altercation involving the two began inside the Lawnsdale Bar
and continued into the parking lot before onlookers intervened.
On 4 Mar 07 Joann Husk, age 31, 17315 State
Route 339, Waterford, reported her husband Curt, age 40, locked
himself in the garage and threatened to harm himself. Deputy
Sheriffs Stackpole and McLeish arrived soon thereafter to extricate
Mr. Husk from his running vehicle. Mr. Husk was unwilling to
comply, forcing Deputy Stackpole to deploy his Taser. Mr. Husk
was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to Marietta
Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William Thomas Bergstein, age 21, 5 ½ Palmer Street,
Athens, for speeding, a misdemeanor. Bergstein was picked up
at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 07 at 1:45 am.
Robert Clark McGaughy II, age 53, 10305 Orr Street, Byesville,
for OVI, driving left of center, possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. McGaughy was arrested
near milepost three on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar
07 at 2:00 am.
Charus Leon Bennett, age 34, 29795 State Route 7, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Bennett was arrested
on Fourth Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 07 at 2:40
pm.
Curt Allen Husk, age 40, 17315 State Route 339, Waterford,
for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Husk was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 07 at 11:25 pm.
