On 1 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds issued a citation to Beth A. Thomas, 1031 Fowler Drive, Caldwell, for failure to obey a traffic control device. Deputy Reynolds stopped Ms. Fowler after she failed to stop at the intersection of US 50 and Arrowhead Road in Belpre Township.

On 1 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Joshua A. Morris, age 27, 68400 Wood Street, Cameron, OH, for possessing less than 100 grams of marijuana. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Morris for having an obstructed license plate on State Route 7 and discovered six grams in Mr. Morris’ glove compartment.

On 1 Mar 07 Michael W. Singer, age 48, 11827 State Route 555, Cutler, reported a Hi Point .380 pistol was stolen from his unlocked home between 7 pm the previous evening and 4:30 pm that afternoon. This case remains under investigation (529).

On 1 Mar 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued a citation to Charles F. Kim, age 68, 49995 Blakes Road, Tuppers Plains, for traveling 79 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Rhodes stopped Mr. Kim on US 50 near Gantsville Road in Belpre Township.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Robert L. Patterson, age 24, 424 Third Street, Marietta, for failing to appear for arraignment on 26 Feb 07.

Leesa A. Cain, age 48, HC 80 Box 97, Ripley, WV, for failing to appear for arraignment on 26 Feb 07.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

William Andrew Boyd, age 39, 906 Hill Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, for violating the terms of his probation and for possessing an open container of alcohol, all misdemeanors. Boyd was picked up in Licking County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Mar 07 at 1:27 pm.

Matthew Lester Jones, age 22, 331 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Jones was picked up in Las Vegas by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Mar 07 at 1:47 pm.

Jessica Lynn Stevens, age 25, Hillcrest Court Apt. 39, Parkersburg, for felony and misdemeanor charges of failure to appear. Stevens was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Mar 07 at 2:04 pm.

Jeremy Ray Braun, age 22, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 4, Marietta, for theft and for contempt of a court order, both felonies. Braun was arrested on Millers Lane by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Mar 07 at 2:20 pm.

David Allen Sayres, age 42, 840 Pike Street Apt. 42, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and misdemeanor charges of failure to appear and disorderly conduct by intoxication. Sayres was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Mar 07 at 2:47 pm.

William Joseph Mitchell, age 22, Marietta, for breaking and entering and contempt of a court order, both felonies. Mitchell was picked up at the Lake Erie Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Mar 07 at 5:05 pm.
