On 28 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds requested
summonses for Marshall E. Jones, age 25, and Angel C. Conley,
age 21, both of 20 Dye Street Apt. 2, Newport, for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tipped by a
neighbor on the presence of contraband in the apartment, officers
conducted a search warrant on 27 Feb. During the search two
marijuana plants growing in small containers were found along
with various marijuana smoking devices and other drug paraphernalia.
On 28 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued
a citation to Jamie D. Snider, age 18, 3925 Creek Road, Stockport,
for traveling 90 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Rhodes stopped
Mr. Snider on State Rout 7 near Veto Road in Warren Township.
On 28 Feb 07 Carl D. Theobald, age 75, 394
Jett Hill Road, Marietta, reported sometime over the past four
days three head of cattle either escaped or were stolen from
his ninety acre property. This case remains under investigation
(1299).
On 28 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris arrested
Justin M. Gossett, age 25, 407 East Spring Street, Marietta,
for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After stopping Mr. Gossett for having an unsecured license
plate Deputy Morris requested Deputy Stackpole conduct an exterior
canine search. Deputy Stackpole’s canine Aboo indicated
the presence of narcotics and a subsequent search yielded marijuana,
rolling papers and four used syringes.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Jennifer Huddleston, age 27, 632 Cisler Drive,
Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause on 12 Feb 07.
Jeremy R. Braun, age 22, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 4, Marietta,
for the theft of a Ruger handgun on 23 Feb 07.
Margaret Byrom, age 40, Marietta, GA, for failing to appear
for jury trial on 22 Feb 07.
David A. Sayres, age 42, 840 Pike Street Apt. 42, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear
for a scheduled appointment as ordered by the court.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jacob Anthony Dunbar, age 22, 47 Stanley Street,
Newport, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Dunbar was arrested
at his residence by Detective Warden of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 Feb 07 at 12:30 pm.
Justin Michael Gossett, age 25, 407 Spring Street, Marietta,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Gossett was arrested at the Levee House
Café in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 07 at 2:05 pm.
Robert Wayland Patterson, age 23, 518 Third Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Patterson
was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer
Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28
Feb 07 at 5:10 pm.
