On 25 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a citation to John M. Decarlo III, age 20, 4189 Grove Avenue, Willoughby, OH, for traveling 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy Staats stopped Mr. Decarlo on Interstate 77 near milepost nine in Salem Township.

On 25 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Jammie R. Brock, age 28, 18500 Dudley Road, Caldwell, for possession of marijuana. Deputy Staats stopped Mr. Brock on Interstate 77 for following another vehicle too closely and found two marijuana roaches in the vehicle’s ash tray.

On 25 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded to a suicide attempt at Pennock Trailer Court in Beverly. The Beverly Volunteer Fire Department transported the woman to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

On 25 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Hall responded to a domestic violence complaint at the residence of Bill L. Moss, age 50, and his live-in girlfriend Amanda E. Veon, age 28, at 2134 Clark Road, Cutler. Angry that Mr. Moss did not spend more time with her the previous day, Ms. Veon went berserk. She proceeded to rip all the phones from the walls, threatened to shoot Mr. Moss, whipped him with a phone cord and kicked him in the groin several times. Viewing Mr. Moss’ injuries, Deputy Hall arrested Ms. Veon for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Amanda Elizabeth Veon, age 28, 2134 Clarke Road, Cutler, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Veon was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 07 at 2:27 am.

William Brian Lucas, age 33, 411 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, for OVI, for not wearing a seat belt and for failing to obey the right of way, all misdemeanors. Lucas was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Feb 07 at 10:58 pm.
