On 21 Feb 07 Earl R. Williams, age 66, 3300
State Route 26, Marietta, reported, after noticing irregularities
in his bank statement, that he believes a family member stole
and forged five of his checks for a total of $575. May L. Goodman,
age 34, 5199 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, alleges the same
family member stole one of her checks and forged it for $100.
This case remains under investigation (529).
On 21 Feb 07 Geneva Smitley, age 55, 525 Kesselring
Road, Newport, reported an unknown suspect used her personal
information to obtain a line of credit with Dell. No charges
were made and Ms. Smitley closed the account (8411).
On 21 Feb 07 Cecil C. Andrews, age 46, 957
Gantsville Road, Little Hocking, reported he believes an individual
visiting his children on 15 Feb stole a JVC digital camcorder
from his kitchen. This case remains under investigation (1293).
On 21 Feb 07 the owner of Cutler Station,
9731 State Route 555, Cutler, reported when he arrived at the
store that morning he noticed a window had been broken and
the business entered. Stolen were fourteen cartons of various
cigarettes valued at approximately $500. This case remains
under investigation (1001).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Bradford Cline Tallman, age 34, 2702 Division
Street Ext., Parkersburg, for OVI and for operating with an
expired license, both misdemeanors. Tallman was arrested on
US 50 by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 21 Feb 07 at 12:37 am.
John Aaron Givens, age 26, 100B Linwood Avenue,
Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Givens was picked
up at the Warren Correctional Facility by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Feb 07
at 3:48 pm.
Joseph Timothy Byrom Jr., age 27, 1025 Washington Boulevard,
Belpre, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Byrom
was picked up in Georgia by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 21 Feb 07 at 6:09 pm.
Andrew Michael Russell, age 21, Marietta, for felony charges
of breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools and
a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines. Russell was picked up in Florida by
Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 21 Feb 07 at 6:30 pm.
Nathan Philip Persinger, age 24, 7 Ann Street, Williamstown,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Persinger was arrested on Virginia Street
in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 21 Feb 07 at 10:30 pm.
Randall Scott Peck, age 26, Route 1 Box 37F, Waverly, WV,
for driving under a suspended license, failure to register
and speeding, all misdemeanors. Peck was arrested on Virginia
Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 21 Feb 07 at 10:45 pm.
