On 19 Feb 07 Mike Whipkey, age 30, 195 Caywood
Road, Marietta, reported between noon and 5 pm a Playstation
2 and four games belonging his friend’s son was stolen
from his home. This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 19 Feb 07 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff
Simmons responded to a domestic dispute at the home of Kathy
J. Gaskins, age 34, and her live-in boyfriend Richard D. Gill,
age 45, at 17 Lauer Road, Whipple. Ms. Gaskins informed the
Deputies a conversation with her boyfriend caused him to be
upset, at which time he shoved her against a window and caused
her to cut her finger on a blind. Also citing past incidents
in which Ms. Gaskins was a victim and Mr. Gill the assailant,
Deputy Simmons requested a warrant for Mr. Gill for domestic
violence.
On 19 Feb 07 Fredrick L. Yoho Sr., age 39,
1272 State Route 821, Marietta, reported when he returned home
from work that afternoon a seventeen year old neighbor was
standing in his driveway with what appeared to be a crossbow
he recognized as the one he had in a bedroom closet. Examining
the outside of his home, Mr. Yoho noticed a broken kitchen
window and a box of items from inside so he phoned the Sheriff’s
Office and Deputy Simmons responded. When questioned the juvenile
admitted breaking into his neighbor’s to steal items
he could sell in order to buy a car. As a result, Deputy Simmons
arrested the juvenile for delinquency by burglary and transported
him to the Washington County Juvenile Detention Center.
On 19 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Evans responded
to the scene of a vehicle outside the residence of Joshua Beaver,
age 27, 101 Evans Street Apt B11, New Matamoras. For the second
time that evening the New Matamoras Fire Department extinguished
the blaze that Mr. Beaver believes is caused by a “miss” and
leaks gasoline. Deputy Evans forwarded this case to the Fire
Marshall’s Office for further investigation.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Glenn Roger Johnson Jr., age 20, 116 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Johnson
was arrested at the intersection of Market and Fearing Streets
in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
19 Feb 07 at 1:15 am.
Ricky Lee Chancellor, age 52, 301 Matthew Street, Mineral
Wells, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Chancellor turned
himself in to Patrolman Clevenger at the Belpre City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
19 Feb 07 at 4:55 am.
Shae Matthew Buchanan, age 20, 1781 Unicorn Drive, Virginia
Beach, VA, for driving under a suspended license and speeding,
both misdemeanors. Buchanan was arrested near milepost sixteen
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Feb 07 at 4:00 pm.
William Eugene Deford Jr., age 35, 800 Front Street, Marietta,
for possession of drugs, a felony. Deford was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
19 Feb 07 at 6:00 pm.
John Fredrick Frazier, age 56, 803 Second Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for possession of drugs, a felony. Frazier was arrested at
his residence by Detective Nohe of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
19 Feb 07 at 7:54 pm.
Benson Theodore Roseman, age 21, Main Market Road, Benson,
OH, for driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs,
possession of drug paraphernalia and for speeding, all misdemeanors.
Roseman was arrested near milepost five on Interstate 77 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Feb 07 at 9:05 pm.
