On 15 Feb 07 Melissa D. Warrener, age 26,
290 Ridgewood Court Apt. D, Marietta, reported her prescription
bottles of Xanax and Tramadol were stolen from her purse while
she visited a friend at Sierra Apartments that afternoon. This
case remains under investigation (529).
On 15 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued
a citation to Paul G. Muncy, age 51, 888 Wiley Lane, Beverly,
for driving under a suspended license and for having expired
tags. Deputy Morris stopped Mr. Muncy on State Route 60 near
State Route 339 in Waterford Township.
On 15 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Shelli S. Lewis, age 44, Route 1 Box 242, Waterford,
for having expired tags. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Muncy on
State Route 60 near milepost eleven in Adams Township.
On 15 Feb 07 Janine M. McHenry, age 42, 2231
13th Street SW, Akron, reported in November of 2004 she believes
her soon to be ex-husband may have forged her name on child
custody papers. Further investigating, Deputy Smeeks determined
no crime occurred and Ms. McHenry also declined to pursue the
matter further.
On 15 Feb 07 Laura Hupp, age 44, 309 Main
Street Apt. 2, Belmont, WV, reported seventeen dollars was
stolen from her purse during her shift at Par Mar at 17785
State Route 7, Marietta. Ms. Hupp stated the theft occurred
while she was distracted with a customer and another customer
paid for a purchase, reached into her purse and quickly fled.
This case remains under investigation (597).
On 15 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Eddy was dispatched
to the scene of death of an eighty-four year old Watertown
resident. The woman death appears natural; no foul play is
suspected.
On 15 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds issued
a citation to Christopher M. Tuell, age 18, 2605 Harrison Avenue,
Parkersburg, for failure to obey a traffic control device.
Deputy Reynolds stopped Mr. Tuell for not stopping at the flashing
red light at the intersection of Third and Greene Streets in
Marietta.
On 15 Feb 07 Kathi Lowe, age 48, 3558 School
House Road, Little Hocking, reported her sixteen and seventeen
year old foster children left their residence without permission
after she accused one of them from stealing from another child.
After the two returned nearly three hours later and were uncooperative,
Deputy Sheriff Collins requested summonses for them to appear
in Juvenile Court for being unruly.
On 15 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Parks issued a
citation to Christopher L. Dotson, age 19, 159 Upper Eureka
Road, Belmont, WV, for failure to obey a traffic control device.
Deputy Parks stopped Mr. Dotson after he failed to stop at
a stop sign at the intersection of State Route 7 and State
Route 803 in Newport Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Laura Ann Ledger, age 39, 7010 State Route 550, Cutler, for
driving under an FRA suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Ledger was arrested near milepost nine on US 50 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 15 Feb 07 at 2:10 am.
Juan Jabar Richards, age 26, 100 ½ Alderman Street,
Marietta, for felony charges of receiving stolen property,
obstructing official business and unauthorized use of a computer
and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Richards turned
himself in to Patrolman Blasko at the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
15 Feb 07 at 6:02 am.
Eric Frank Gurganus, age 28, 300 17th Street,
Parkersburg, for the illegal processing of drug documents,
a felony. Gurganus was arrested at K-Mart in Marietta by Detective
Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 15 Feb 07 at 12:34 pm.
