On 14 Feb 07 Lt. Wilson arrested Roy D. McElfresh,
age 23, 708 Goddard Road, Cutler, for two felony counts of
possession of drugs and for misdemeanor charges of possession
of drug paraphernalia, driving under a suspended license and
having fictitious plates. Noticing the registration sticker
on Mr. McElfresh’s vehicle was expired, Lt. Wilson conducted
a traffic stop at BP on US 50 in Belpre. After learning Mr.
McElfresh’s license was suspended Lt. Wilson placed him
under arrest, at which time he asked if the suspect possessed
any weapons or contraband. Lt. Wilson then removed a plastic
bag containing a marijuana pipe, five Adderall pills and four
and a half pills of Percocet from Mr. McElfresh’s pocket.
On 14 Feb 07 an employee of Par Mar, 66 Arrowhead
Road, Little Hocking, reported he detained three individuals
for shoplifting and recovered the stores merchandise. Two of
the suspects, thirteen and fifteen year old Belpre residents,
informed Deputy Sheriff Collins the third individual took no
part in the theft of condoms, a cigarette case and bottle of
Stacker 2. The juveniles were returned to the custody of their
parents and issued summonses to appear in Juvenile Court for
delinquency by theft.
On 14 Feb 07 Deidre Cain, age 25, 502 Park
Street, Beverly, reported her four year old daughter told her
she saw an individual looking in her window. Investigating,
Deputy Sheriff Staats noticed numerous footprints in the snow
but was informed that many people use the yard as a shortcut
to a nearby park. Deputy Staats was unable to locate any corroborating
evidence or witness and closed this case as unfounded.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Evelyn Kay Price, age 27, 21H Ballard Road, South Charleston,
WV, for felony and misdemeanor charges of failure to appear.
Price was picked up at the South Central Regional Jail by Deputy
Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Feb 07 at 3:30 pm.
Teresa Marie White, age 25, 1377 Orchard Heights, Mayfield
Heights, OH, for burglary and theft, both felonies. White was
picked up at the Lakin Correctional Facility by Deputy Sheriff
Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on
14 Feb 07 at 3:30 pm.
