responded to a distress call at the residence of Ronald Selsor,

for a squad was actually a request for a squad car by Mr. Selsor,
for the reason that he suspected his live-in girlfriend was

and rambling incoherently Deputy Collins closed this case as
unfounded.

MARIETTA COUPLE ALLEGEDLY RECEIVED OVER 12,000
PILLS THROUGH ONLINE PHARMACIES
On 7 Feb 07, Agents of the Major Crimes Task
Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Kenneth
Shapiro, age 51,
and his wife Mary, age 60, at 604 Second Street, Marietta.
Acting on an anonymous tip, Agents learned the Shapiros were
receiving an abnormally large quantity of prescription medications
through various mail services and that the couple was possibly
selling some of the drugs. With the assistance of local UPS
and FedEx officials, Agents determined over a month between
December 2006 and January 2007 the Shapiros received drug shipments
from more than six online pharmacies. The Shapiros also utilized
local pharmacies throughout last year to fill prescriptions
for drugs such as Xanax, hydrocodone, Darvocet and Ritalin
as well as other non-narcotic drugs. Seized during the search
warrant was myriad evidence related to Agents’ suspicions,
specifically, empty FedEx and UPS boxes, prescription forms,
mail order receipts, empty and full prescription pill bottles
and other drug paraphernalia. Task Force Agents estimate the
Shapiro’s received over 12,000 hydrocodone pills through
online pharmacies. Evidence obtained will be forwarded to the
Prosecutor’s Office for possible presentation to grand
jury. This investigation was conducted in conjunction with
the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force.
