On 6 Feb 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to a seventeen year old Sardis resident for traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks stopped the girl near milepost fifty-three on State Route 7 in Grandview Township.

On 6 Feb 07 Scott E. Brown, age 52, Route 2 Box 343A, Washington, WV, lost control of his Toyota truck and struck a concrete barrier on the right northbound side of State Route 7 near milepost twenty. Mr. Brown reported no injuries; his vehicle sustained functional damage (1091).

On 6 Feb 07 Jeffrey G. Knowlton, age 56, 85 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, reported between 6:15 and 8:15 that morning several articles of mail were stolen from his mailbox. This case remains under investigation (529).

Jerry Edwin Richardson II, age 32, 7521 State Route 329, Stewart, for operating with an expired license, a misdemeanor. Richardson was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 07 at 10:53 am.

Robert Roy Daniel Frost, age 36, 360 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras, for being a fugitive from justice. Frost was arrested at the Courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Summers and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Feb 07 at 3:36 pm.
