On 23 Jan 07 Jeff Angle, age 56, 780 Walhonding
Avenue, Logan, OH, reported during a basketball game on 9 Jan
07, iPods belonging to his stepson and two other Logan High
School basketball players were stolen from the visitor’s
locker room at Warren High School. This case remains under
investigation (690).
On 23 Jan 07 Judith M. Gilham, age 54, 305
Fourth Street, Lowell, reported sometime during the past two
days an aluminum wheelchair ramp was stolen from where it was
leaning against a pole building in her back yard. This case
remains under investigation (1020).
On 23 Jan 07 a twenty-three year old Marietta
resident reported receiving three unwanted phone calls from
a former friend and that her former friend ridiculed her for
being a witness in an upcoming jury trial. This case remains
under investigation (529).
On 23 Jan 07 a member of the Second Congregational
Church, 1855 Greene Street, Newport, reported between midnight
and 2 pm an unknown suspect(s) broke a pane on then forced
open a window. Once inside the suspect(s) stole an antique
table from an office, five microphones and two speakers from
a stage and a home theater system from a downstairs room, a
total loss of $2,200. This case remains under investigation
(1020).
On 23 Jan 07 Deputy Stackpole issued a minor
misdemeanor citation to Marie D. Weltner, age 19, 712 Franklin
Avenue, Belpre, for possession of marijuana. Stopping Ms. Weltner
for having an inoperable headlight, Deputy Stackpole’s
canine indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Also
charged as a result of the stop were Tracey J. McElfresh, age
20, and Seth Adams, age 21, both of 606 Elm Street, Belpre.
Ms. McElfresh was charged with possession of drugs after she
revealed eight Klonopin pills she secreted in a cigarette pack.
Charged with theft, Mr. Adams admitted stealing from the Station
Carryout, a pool ball Deputy Stackpole noticed on the floor
of the vehicle.
On 23 Jan 07 Paul F. Newbanks Jr., age 49,
7923 Veto Road, Belpre, reported while he was the guest of
the county in jail between 6:30 pm on 22 Jan and 9 am the following
morning, an unknown suspect entered his home and stole a thirty-two
inch flat screen television. This case remains under investigation
(592).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Rodtralle Charlon Odems, age 30, 5901 Salinsky
Street Apt. 129, Houston, TX, for OVI, driving under a suspended
license and for speeding, all misdemeanors. Odems was arrested
on County House Lane by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jan 07 at 2:36 am.
