On 18 Jan 07 Marion W. Morrow, age 73, 100
Edgewood Drive, Marietta, reported finding household garbage,
including carpet, carpet padding and mail, dumped near Devol’s
Dam on River Road. This case remains under investigation (529).
On 18 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes encountered
a female lying on the pavement of the Four Seasons parking
lot in Marietta. Identifying the female as Mandy D. Bunting,
age 20, 1629 Park Avenue, Parkersburg, Deputy Rhodes was
informed by an employee of the bar that Ms. Bunting was asked
to leave
because she was observed consuming alcohol. Ms. Bunting confirmed
the employee’s statement that she had been drinking
and was therefore arrested for underage consumption of alcohol
and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 18 Jan 07 Dean McCoy, age 62, 11825 State
Route 550, Fleming, reported sometime during the night an unknown
suspect shattered the driver’s side window of his Ford
F-350. This case remains under investigation (586).
On 18 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats arrested
Travis L. Cunningham, age 22, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent,
for OVI, endangering children, possession of drug paraphernalia
and driving under a suspended license. Stopped for traveling
left of center on State Route 550, Mr. Cunningham stated he
did not have a license. When questioned concerning his dilated
pupils, Mr. Cunningham admitted smoking marijuana an hour ago
and that the two pipes found in his ashtray were used to smoke
crack. Additionally, the front seat passenger in the vehicle
was a two year old female, resulting in a child endangerment
charge.
On 18 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks began an
investigation into a vehicle that was crashed and abandoned
near 3345 Glendale Road, Marietta. The vehicle, a 1998 Chevy
S-10, was reported stolen by its owner by Joshua L. Bonnette,
age 28, 1327 Goose Run Road, Marietta, the previous evening.
This case remains under investigation (1293).
On 18 Jan 07 an employee of the Washington
County Home, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, reported two
of the home’s residents, Thomas E. Brandt, age 23, and
Christopher L. Goss, age 22, had been out drinking and were
arguing with other residents. A third resident, Denzel Jeffers,
age 21, attempted to intervene and protect other residents
but was challenged and spit on by the two drunkards. Soon thereafter
Mr. Brandt held Mr. Jeffers while Mr. Goss repeatedly punched
him. As a result of their actions, Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Mr. Goss for assault and Mr. Brandt for complicity in assault
and transported them to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Sandra Ruthann Green, age 22, 726 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg,
for felonious assault. Green was arrested at 603 Main Street
in Belpre by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jan 07
at 2:30 am.
Mandy Dawn Bunting, age 20, 1629 Park Avenue, Parkersburg,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Bunting
was arrested at the Four Seasons in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18
Jan 07 at 3:00 am.
David Allen Sayres, age 41, 836 Pike Street
Apt. 3, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Sayres
was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hanson
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 18 Jan 07 at 3:44 pm.
Travis Lloyd Cunningham, age 22, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent,
for felony charges of breaking and entering, theft and auto
theft and misdemeanor charges of endangering children, possession
of drug paraphernalia, OVI and driving under a suspended license.
Cunningham was arrested on State Route 550 by Deputy Sheriff
Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18
Jan 07 at 11:51 pm.
