On 17 Jan 07 Detective Sirianni received notification
from officials at Frontier High School that an eighteen year
old mentally challenged student disclosed having sexual contact
with her stepfather Calvin G. Martin, age 69, 49 Alexander
Road, Marietta. The victim stated the occurrences began on
Sunday while her mother was at work and happened three times.
Detective Sirianni verified the veracity of the claim with
the mother’s employment schedule and determined after
interviewing the suspect possessed the ability to convey truthful
and accurate information. Present during the interview was
the victim’s mother who also indicated she believed her
daughter exhibited truthfulness and that the allegations were
truthful. As a result, Detective Sirianni arrested Mr. Martin
for rape and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
After his initial court appearance Martin is being held on
$100,000 bond.
On 17 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued
a citation to Matthew E. Hildebrand, age 25, Route 1 Box 199,
Davisville, WV, for driving under a license suspended for unpaid
citations. Deputy Rhodes stopped Mr. Hildebrand on US 50 at
Braun Road in Belpre Township.
On 17 Jan 07 Lt. Wilson requested a warrant
for Terry G. Dalton, age 41, 15590 State Route 555, Cutler,
for domestic violence. Late the previous evening Sandra Heeter,
age 31, fled the home she shares with Mr. Dalton after he grabbed
her neck, choked and threatened her. Ms. Heeter stated similar
incidents have occurred in the past and she and her daughter
both feared for their safety.
On 17 Jan 07 Elizabeth Hunt, age 46, 1933
Plantsville Road, Chesterhill, reported sometime over the past
week an unknown suspect(s) entered her father’s vacant
home at 4521 State Route 339, Belpre and removed nearly all
of the copper pipe in the basement. This case remains under
investigation (232).
On 17 Jan 07 Joshua L. Bonnette, age 28, 1353
Goose Run Road, Marietta, reported between 4:30 and midnight
His 1998 Chevy S-10 was stolen from his driveway. Mr. Bonnette
stated he leaves the keys in the bed of the truck described
the vehicle as forest green in color and beat up. This case
remains under investigation (296).
On 17 Jan 07 an employee of the Alibi Carryout,
11911 State Route 339, Vincent, reported a suspect issued the
business two checks on a closed account for a total of $91.15
on 3 and 5 Apr 06. This case remains under investigation (8411).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Thomas Sayre, age 28, 228 Seventh Street, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Sayre was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
17 Jan 07 at 12:45 am.
Edward Eugene Craft, age 48, 1202 22nd Street, Columbus, for
driving under a suspended license, speeding, possession of
drugs and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Craft
was arrested near milepost seventeen on Interstate 77 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Jan 07 at 5:30 am.
Donna Lacresha Watkins, age 32, 661 Siebert Street, Columbus,
for a felony charge of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor
charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Watkins was arrested
near milepost seventeen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 Jan 07 at 5:30 am.
Beatrice Kaye Chidester, age 47, 210 ½ Spring
Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation,
a misdemeanor. Chidester was arrested at the Four Seasons in
Marietta by Probation Officer Farrell and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Jan 07 at 8:49 pm.
Calvin Gale Martin, age 69, 49 Alexander Road, Marietta, for
rape, a felony. Martin was arrested at his residence by Detective
Sirianni of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jan 07 at 11:15
pm.
