On 13 Jun 06 Ashley N. Hendershot, age 25,
5215 State Route 260, New Matamoras, reported being assaulted
by her husband Gale, age 41. During an argument that became
increasingly heated Mr. Hendershot called his wife vulgar names
in front of their children, grabbed her shirt and slammed her
into a wall. Viewing the injuries to Mrs. Hendershot, Deputy
Sheriff Evans arrested Mr. Hendershot for domestic violence
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 13 Jan 07 Tira S. Brown, age 43, 423 Schwendeman
Hill Road, Lowell, reported her eighteen year old daughter
left the home with friends four days ago and she has not heard
from her since. The daughter returned home the following day,
stating she was with friends in Parkersburg and her cell phone
would not work.
On 13 Jan 07 at 1400 hours the Sheriff’s Office received
a call from Sarah A. Casto, age 29, 7355 Veto Road, Belpre
concerning the fact that she has an active temporary protection
order against Robert L. Perdue, age 63, 1202 Hocking Road,
Belpre stemming from his previous actions and he was persisting
in attempting to make contacts with her. Deputy Sheriff Norman
observed Perdue on Lee Street and a traffic stop was attempted.
Perdue continued until finally stopping in the Kroger Parking
Lot in Belpre. Upon initial contact Perdue became very combative
and forced Deputy Norman to deploy his Taser to control him.
Perdue was taken into custody with the assistance of the Belpre
Police Department being charged with a felony violation of
a temporary protection order and resisting arrest. Perdue is
incarcerated in the Washington County Jail pending a court
appearance in Marietta Municipal Court on Tuesday.
On 13 Jan 07 Corrections Officer Travaglio
requested a summons for Dennis C. Crockett, age 29, 518 Third
Street, Marietta, for assault. The charge follows an incident
during which Mr. Crockett punched, threw to the floor and kicked
another inmate in the Washington County Jail for allegedly
tampering with his belongings.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Wayne Luke, age 45, 717 Quarry Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Luke
was arrested his residence by Patrolman Newell of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Jan 07 at 1:10 am.
Robert Lee Perdue, age 63, 1202 Hocking Road, Belpre, for
a felony charge of violating the terms of a protection order
and misdemeanor charges of violating the terms of a protection
order and resisting arrest. Perdue was arrested on Washington
Boulevard in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 07 at 2:45 pm.
Michael Alan Brown, age 38, 1601 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg,
for theft, a felony. Brown was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 07
at 4:10 pm.
Gale Allen Hendershot, age 41, 5215 State Route 260, New Matamoras,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hendershot was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 07 at 4:30 pm.
Belinda Jo Seabolt, age 31, 1601 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg,
for theft, a felony. Seabolt was arrested at Wal-Mart in Marietta
by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 07
at 5:43 pm.
