On 12 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Malone responded
to the scene of death of a seventy-eight year old Waterford
resident. The man’s death appears to be natural; no foul
play is suspected.
On 12 Jan 07 an employee of Muskingum Valley
Nursing and Rehabilitation, 501 Pinecrest Drive, Beverly, reported
finding a bag of marijuana under a bed sheet in the room of
Joseph K. Herrmann, age 45, 8249 Conk Palmer Road, Malta. Mr.
Hermann admitted bringing the marijuana into the facility and
claimed it was for medicinal use. As a result, Deputy Sheriff
Eddy requested a summons for Mr. Herrmann for possession of
marijuana.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Lee Anna Newbanks, age 24, 1588 Federal Road, Little Hocking,
for OVI, driving under an OVI suspended license, for consuming
alcohol in a vehicle and for not having license plates, all
misdemeanors. Newbanks was arrested near the intersection of
Clement Avenue and Hocking Road by Deputy Sheriff Evans and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jan 07 at 12:15
am.
Maranda Star Southall, age 25, 2839 Beach Drive, Belpre, for
OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both
misdemeanors. Southall was arrested in Belpre by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 12 Jan 07 at 2:27 am.
Randall Lynn Stewart, age 48, 800 Talbot Street,
Belpre, for being a fugitive from justice and for a misdemeanor
charge of failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines. Stewart was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff
Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jan
07 at 1:20 pm.
David Allen Sayres, age 41, 836 Pike Street Apt. 3, Marietta,
for theft and for having an open container of alcohol, both
misdemeanors. Sayres was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jan 07 at 5:45 pm.
Dwight Edward Wells, age 46, 14600 Robert Wells Road, Dexter
City, for breach of recognizance and failure to appear, both
misdemeanors. Wells was arrested at his residence by Deputy
Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 12 Jan 07 at 10:35 pm.
