On 10 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Clifton A. Walker, age 26, 21 Acorn Avenue, Parkersburg,
for traveling 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks stopped
Mr. Walker on State Route 7 near milepost thirteen in Dunham
Township.
On 10 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Thomas W. Gaughan, age 20, 401 Lancaster Street,
Marietta, for failure to display his license plate. Deputy
Staats stopped Mr. Gaughan on Colegate Drive in Marietta Township.
On 10 Jan 07 a forty-five year old Belpre
resident reported being in fear for safety due to threats made
by her fourteen year old son. She stated her son threatened
to knock her head off and to cut her oxygen tube and set fire
to it. Additionally two days ago, the teenager punched her
in the chest because he was appalled that she asked him to
clean his room. As a result of the juvenile’s actions,
Deputy Sheriff Stackpole arrested him for delinquency by domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Juvenile
Detention Center.
On 10 Jan 07 Terry Lamp, age 36, 310 Main
Street Apt. 1, New Matamoras, reported while he was out of
his home for a short time that evening an unknown suspect(s)
entered his home and stole a CD player and prescription bottles
containing Percocet, Ritalin, Singulair and Claritin. This
case remains under investigation (515).
On 10 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued

The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ralph Brian Hardesty, age 39, 875 Dodd Run
Road, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Hardesty was arrested
at the Marietta City Police Department by Patrolman Walters
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jan 07
at 2:15 pm.
Henry Clement Lori Jr., age 45, 207 Curtis Boulevard Apt.
B, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Lori was arrested on Dawes Circle in Marietta by Patrolman
Huddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jan 07 at 3:30 pm.
