On 6 Jan 07 a forty year old Elizabeth, WV
resident reported her fifteen year old son huffed gasoline
while they were visiting her friend’s residence in Belpre.
The juvenile, who smelled of gasoline, admitted huffing gasoline
that afternoon and that he does so weekly, partly because his
mother doesn’t pay attention to him. In consequence,
Deputy Sheriff Staats requested a summons for the juvenile
to appear in Juvenile Court for being delinquent.
On 6 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued a
citation to Brandon W. Blough, age 21, 903 19th Street, Parkersburg,
for traveling 88 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Rhodes stopped
Mr. Blough on US 50 near Drag Strip Road in Belpre Township.
On 6 Jan 07 Sgt. Gherke investigated a fight
between Gary Wells, age 38, 24 State Route 124, Coolville,
and Jeffrey J. Johnson, age 33, 51826 Rice Run Road, Reedsville.
Starting after the two exchanged obscene gestures from their
vehicles, the two engaged in a wrestling match in the parking
lot of Par Mar at 66 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking before
being separated by a bystander. Because he determined both
parties were at fault, Sgt. Gherke requested summonses for
Mr. Wells and Mr. Johnson for disorderly conduct by fighting.
On 6 Jan 07 Lucia L. Duff, age 33, 6585 Highland
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported during the night an unknown suspect(s)
threw a brick through the front window her business, the Village
Barber Shop and Salon at 208 ½ Fifth Street in Beverly.
This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 6 Jan 07 a forty-eight year old Little
Hocking resident reported finding a marijuana pipe in her seventeen
year old foster son’s backpack. This case remains under
investigation pending the analysis of residue on the pipe (200).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Nicholas Dean Brooks II, age 24, 155 Main Street, Vincent,
for driving under a suspended license and for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Brooks was arrested near milepost seventeen on State Route
7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 Jan 07 at 4:30 pm.
Thomas Earl Brandt, age 23, 845 County House Lane, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Brandt
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Morris and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jan 07 at 7:25
pm.
