On 3 Jan 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a citation to William C. Graham, age 27, 702 Third Street, New Matamoras, for following another vehicle too closely. Deputy Staats stopped Mr. Graham near milepost twenty-eight on State Route 7 in Marietta Township.

On 3 Jan 07 Velma V. Joy, age 50, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 5B, New Matamoras, reported while she slept overnight she believes someone entered her apartment and stole her newly filled prescriptions for five medications. This case remains under investigation (1001).

On 3 Jan 07 Clyde W. Stollar, age 82, 932 Lancaster Street, Marietta, backed his Ford Ranger into the rear of a parked Jeep Cherokee owned by William A. Reinike, 16 Plainwood Drive, Parkersburg. The accident, which occurred in a parking lot at 4800 State Route 60, Marietta, caused minor damage to both vehicles (500).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Cynthia Ann Misner, age 40, 5329 School House Road, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Misner was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jan 07 at 9:45 am.

Robert Wayland Patterson, age 23, 404 ½ Montgomery Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Patterson was arrested in Drug Court by Probation Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jan 07 at 5:30 pm.

Jack David Ansel Jr., age 48, 810 19th Street, Parkersburg, for assault and criminal damaging, both misdemeanors. Ansel was arrested on Pride Avenue in Belpre by Patrolman Davis of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jan 07 at 7:45 pm.
