On 28 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Spencer responded
to a casualty report at Dimex Corporation at 28305 State Route
7, Marietta. The thirty-six year old Victim, a Parkersburg
resident, nearly severed his left hand when he inserted it
into a machine while it was running. The Reno Volunteer Fire
Department transported the victim to Marietta Memorial Hospital
for further treatment.
On 28 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Joseph L. Carthens, age 23, 909 Hutchinson Street,
Parkersburg, for driving left of center. Deputy Staats stopped
Mr. Carthens as he turned from Greene Street onto the Williamstown
Bridge in Marietta.
On 28 Dec 06 Trevor Hearn, age 27, 194 Sweetapple
Road, Vincent, reported during the night two Milwaukee drills,
a Hilti saw, four Hitachi power tools and other construction
tools totaling over $1,370 were stolen from a locked utility
trailer at a home construction site on Brackenridge Road in
Vincent. This case remains under investigation (1001).
On 28 Dec 06 Richard M. Gessel, age 37, 35443
Atherton Ridge Road, Macksburg, reported between 24 and 26
Dec 06 an unknown suspect(s) entered the Gasel property at
741 Blue Knob Road, Marietta. Once inside the property Mr.
Gessel and his associates recently purchased the suspect(s)
tore out the phone jacks, data lines and a portion of the copper
piping. This case remains under investigation (1001).
On 28 Dec 06 Charlotte A. Hearn, age 66, 110
Greenwood Street, Newport, reported a motor and slide rail
were stolen from a well site she owns on Pam Road in New Matamoras.
This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 28 Dec 06 Patrick D. Molden, age 37, 114
Holiday Drive, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect drove
through his yard, leaving tire tracks of nine and fourteen
feet long. This case remains under investigation (1299).
On 28 Dec 06 Shirley Duckworth, age 63, 2780
Caywood Road, Marietta, reported in October a tenant at a residence
on Seventh Street in Marietta issued her two bad checks totaling
$2,183.34. This case remains under investigation (8411).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Darryl Duane Wright, age 37, 4015 Parakeet Street, Toledo,
for two counts of possession of drugs and for trafficking in
drugs, al felonies. Wright was arrested at an apartment on
Hillcrest Drive in Marietta by Detective Nohe of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 Dec 06 at 12:52 am.
Ryan Logan Patel, age 27, 106 Terrace Avenue, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Patel
was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 28 Dec 06 at 2:31 am.
Raymond Eugene Howard, age 33, 1780 Riverside Road, McConnelsville,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Howard was arrested at the Locker Room
in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
28 Dec 06 at 2:45 am.
