On 24 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Paul C. Neader, age 38, 901 Front Street, Marietta, for .17
breath OVI. Stopped for weaving in and out of his lane, Mr.
Neader admitted drinking four Budweisers prior to the stop.
Unable to complete the one leg stand or walk and turn test,
Mr. Neader was transported to the Washington County Jail where
he tested .235% BAC.
On 24 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks arrested
Robert L. Hawkins, age 29, 1928 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Hawkins was stopped for having a five inch thick tree branch
stuck under the truck he said was just used to go mudding.
A routine exterior sniff with Deputy Smeeks’ canine indicated
the presence of drugs, with a physical search of Mr. Hawkins
and his truck resulting in the seizure of marijuana pipes and
marijuana.
On 24 Dec 06 Tassy M. Kern, age 37, 300 Hendershot
Road, Waterford, reported being assaulted by her ex-husband
during a brief argument at his residence. Upset over not being
able to speak to her daughter due to cellular phone problems,
Ms. Kern barged into her ex-husband’s home after her
daughter opened the door. To avoid further problems her ex-husband
escorted Ms. Kerns from the home, an act she considered as
aggressive and harmful. Witnesses confirmed the conclusion
of Deputy Sheriff Smeeks, in that no act of domestic violence
occurred.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Manolo Garcia Gomez, age 36, 1482 ½ High Street, Columbus,
for being an illegal alien and for misdemeanor charges of speeding
and operating without a license. Gomez was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 24 Dec 06 at 3:40 am.
Robert Lee Hawkins, age 29, 1928 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Hawkins was arrested in Belpre by Deputy
Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 24 Dec 06 at 6:25 am.
Amy Jo McVay, age 26, 1046 ½ 24th Street, Parkersburg,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. McVay
was arrested on State 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Dec 06 at 7:25
am.
Crystal Sue Fisher, age 29, 129 ½ East Spring Street,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Fisher was arrested near milepost one on State Route 7 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Dec 06 at 5:50 pm.
Scott Lee Carpenter, age 44, 413 ½ Third Street, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Carpenter
was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Dec 06 at 11:41 pm.
