On 23 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans requested
a summons for Joshua A. Manley, age 19, 307 Lee Street Apt.
3D, Belpre, for possession of drugs. A passenger in a vehicle
stopped for having an inoperable license plate light, a canine
indicated the presence of drugs. A resultant search yielded
2.87 grams of marijuana in Mr. Manley’s shoe.
On 23 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans responded
to the scene of death of a seventy-five year old Whipple resident.
The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes;
no foul play is suspected.
On 23 Dec 06 an employee of Hocking Tire Center,
166 Tower Road, Little Hocking, reported a customer paid $688.65
for tires and rims with a check written on an account the business
later learned was closed. This case remains under investigation
(1090).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Michael Bryan Gibson, age 22, 880 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford,
for obstructing official business and resisting arrest, both
misdemeanors. Gibson was arrested on Murphy’s Alley in
Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Dec 06
at 1:45 am.
Brian David Long, age 36, 4723 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, for
two counts of breach of recognizance, violating the terms of
his probation, OVI, driving under an FRA suspended license,
and for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer,
all misdemeanors. Long was arrested on Highland Ridge Road
by Deputy Sheriff Collins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 23 Dec 06 at 2:55 pm.
William Otis McMullen, age 34, 321 Wall Avenue, Cambridge,
for automobile theft, forgery and theft by deception, all felonies.
McMullen was picked up in Wakulla County, FL by Deputy Sheriff
Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Dec
06 at 6:20 pm.
Paul Charles Neader, age 38, 901 Front Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation and OVI, both misdemeanors.
Neader was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23
Dec 06 at 2:55 am.
