On 19 Dec 06 Eric R. Proctor, age 29, 270
Fisher Ridge Road, Fleming, reported being defrauded during
a loan transaction on the internet. Since receiving approval
for a $6,000 loan pending and depositing $660 on 14 Dec 06,
Mr. Proctor has yet to receive the loan funds. This case was
forwarded to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for further
investigation (1001).
On 19 Dec 06 Amber Wesley, age 20, 85 Lang
Farm Road, Marietta, reported an hour after she gave her mother
permission to take her two month old daughter to get her picture
taken her mother returned stated she was an unfit mother and
refused to turn over the child. This case remains under investigation
(500).
On 19 Dec 06 Kenneth E. Leasure, age 47, 101
Evans Street Apt. B9, New Matamoras, reported being involved
in a scuffle with a neighbor as the result of a dispute over
a loan owed to the neighbor. Neither party suffered injuries
during the minor fisticuff. Both declined to pursue the matter
further (529, 597).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Romen Zachary Vandall, age 23, Marietta, for OVI and failure
to control, both misdemeanors. Vandall was arrested on State
Route 676 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 06 at 2:01 am.
Shelly Lynn Carpenter, age 33, 516 ½ Warren Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Carpenter was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 06
at 8:35 am.
Curtis Scott McGregor, age 27, 115 Holiday
Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a felony. McGregor was arrested on Hills Bridge Road by Sgt.
Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 06 at 11:10 am.
James Kelmer Laird, age 45, 1809 Camden Avenue, Parkersburg,
for theft and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Laird
was picked up at the Summit County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 06
at 3:40 pm.
Shun Wendell Franklin, age 38, 845 County House Lane, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Franklin
was arrested his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 06 at 10:15 pm.
