On 15 Dec 06 Chance A. McAlarney, age 22,
15726 Waterford Road, Waterford, reported during the previous
night an unknown suspect(s) opened the hood of his truck, cut
several lines and stole a chrome air filter and carburetor.
This case remains under investigation (1293).
On 15 Nov 06 an employee of Belpre Sand and
Gravel, 320 Cemetery Road, Little Hocking, reported that overnight
an unknown suspect(s) trespassed onto the property to steal
copper wiring and two sets of welding leads. This case remains
under investigation (200).
On 15 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to James R. Smith, age 21, 1645 Youba Ridge Road,
Coolville, for driving with expired plates. Deputy Smeeks stopped
Mr. Smith on US 50 near State Route 555 in Belpre Township.
On 15 Dec 06 Lt. Wilson arrested Frank Dean
Schneider, age 68, 21260 State Route 676 Apt. 2, Marietta,
for .08 breath OVI. Stopped for not using a turn signal, Mr.
Schneider was unsteady on his feet and stated he would not
complete sobriety tests because “I’m not that drunk.” As
Mr. Schneider attempted two tests he continued to sway to and
fro and refused to continue further, stating “I couldn’t
do those tests if I was sober.” When transported to the
Washington County Jail Mr. Schneider tested .128% BAC.
On 15 Dec 06 Lt. Coppernoll was informed of
a disruptive student at the Warren-Marietta basketball game
at Warren High School. The student, a seventeen year old Marietta
resident, had an odor of alcohol and admitted consuming vodka
in the school parking lot. As a result, Lt. Coppernoll requested
a summons for the teenager to appear in Juvenile Court for
being delinquent.
On 15 Dec 06 Jay R. Renner, age 59, 19540
State Route 60, Beverly, reported on occasions in October and
November he received notification where an unknown individual
attempted to obtain a bank loan using his social security number.
This case remains under investigation (8411).
On 15 Dec 06 Jacqueline Scheimann, age 56,
530 Coal Run Drive, Coal Run, reported when she arrived home
from work after midnight her home was in disarray and a large
quantity of coins in every denomination were missing from throughout
the house. This case remains under investigation (1203).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dana Michelle Dailey, age 24, 129 Elm Street, Belpre, for
.08 breath OVI, driving under a suspended license and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Dailey
was arrested near milepost eleven on State Route 7 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 15 Dec 06 at 1:50 am.
Frank Dean Schneider, age 68, 21260 State Route 676 Apt. 2,
Marietta, for .08 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Schneider was
arrested on State Route 676 near Cole-Coffman Road by Lt. Wilson
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Dec 06 at 3:50 am.
Justin Michael Dye, age 22, 123 Main Street,
Englewood, OH, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Dye was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15
Dec 06 at 2:47 pm.
Rebecca Dawn Gessel, age 23, 229 Main Street, Lowell, for
theft, a felony. Gessel was arrested at her residence by Deputy
Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 15 Dec 06 at 7:10 pm.
Gary Dean Beaver Sr., age 60, 1612 Hill Street Apt. F, Belpre,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested at
his residence by Patrolman Clevenger of the Belpre City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
15 Dec 06 at 7:20 pm.
