On 14 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Kevin A. Lawrence, age 19, 330 State Route 376,
McConnelsville, for possession of marijuana. Mr. Lawrence was
a passenger in a vehicle Deputy Staats stopped on State Route
821 at State Route 60 for making an improper lane change.
On 14 Dec 06 Sherry L. Williams, age 42, 2875
Leith Run Road, New Matamoras, reported while she was out of
town overnight beginning on 12 Dec, an unknown suspect(s) entered
her home and stole two Remington 870 shotguns from her bedroom.
This case remains under investigation (1299).
On 14 Dec 06 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Jonathan M. Wilson, age 20, 801 Hillcrest Drive,
Parkersburg, for possession of marijuana. Mr. Wilson was stopped
for not using a signal when turning from Greene onto Third
Street in Marietta and Deputy Smeeks’ canine indicated
the presence of drugs in the vehicle.

Curtis S. McGregor, age 27, 115 Holiday Drive,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear for a motion hearing
on 11 Dec 06.
Melvin L. Cummings, age 46, 619 Tenth Street, Marietta, for
failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 22 Nov 06.
Jon Harbert Jr., age 30, 2177 Maddock Street, Lorain, OH,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on an order to show cause on 20 Nov 06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brandon Wayne Abram, age 19, Marietta, for criminal trespassing,
a misdemeanor. Abram was arrested on Second Street in Marietta
by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 06
at 1:22 am.
Juan Jabar Richards, age 25, Oxford, OH, for obstructing official
business and criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors. Richards
was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 06 at 1:32 am.
Brent Matthew Newlen, age 23, 104 Riley Drive Apt. 6, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Newlen was arrested on
Ohio Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Dec 06 at 2:59 am.
Charles Thornton Owens, age 37, 178 Schultz Street, Columbus,
for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Owens was arrested in Marietta
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Dec 06 at 3:12 am.
Cleveland Jeffrey Bedgood, age 31, Lewis Pointe Drive, Vincent,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Bedgood
was arrested on Greene Street at the Williamstown Bridge by
Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Dec 06 at 3:25 am.
Jetiah Lee Taylor, age 24, 567 Sixth Street, Parkersburg,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Taylor was arrested on Greene Street
at the Williamstown Bridge by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 06 at 3:39 am.
Cass Daniel Mayle, age 22, 1608 Coal Street, Chesterhill,
for OVI, failure to reinstate his operator’s license
and for not using headlights, all misdemeanors. Mayle was arrested
on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Dec 06 at 4:03 am.
Steven Scott Worstell, age 33, 4845 Zion Ridge
Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Worstell was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court
by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Dec 06 at 10:40 am.
Clayton Loren Books, age 27, 833 Second Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Books
was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Hamilton
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 06
at 5:15 pm.
