On 29 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued
a citation to Amy L. Smithberger, age 19, 104 Riverview Drive,
Marietta, for traveling 67 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Morris
stopped Ms. Smithberger near milepost forty on State Route
7 in Newport Township.
On 29 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris responded
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 177 Grandview Hill Road,
New Matamoras. Paige E. Tilton, age 44, stated she and her
husband James, age 48, were arguing about an ill cat and lobbing
familial insults at each other. Angry at a comment Mrs. Tilton
made about his mother, Mr. Tilton threw two punches at his
wife, landing one in the left eye. Because Mr. Tilton fled
the scene prior to his arrival, Deputy Morris requested a warrant
for him for domestic violence.
On 29 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded
to the scene of death of a sixty year old Massillon resident.
The coroner determined the man, who was in town to deer hunt,
died due to natural causes. No foul play is suspected.
On 29 Nov 06 an employee of Wesbanco reported
the former Gasel Transportation building at 742 Blue Knob Road,
Marietta, was forcibly entered and the wiring, circuit breaker
and conduit removed. Also stolen was a section of copper pipe
leading to a used oil tank, causing the oil to leak and damage
the inside of the building. This case remains under investigation
(515).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Natalie Sue Weckbacher, age 23, 2393 Wells
Road, Waterford, for driving under an FRA suspended license,
a misdemeanor. Weckbacher was arrested on State Route 7 by
Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 29 Nov 06 at 1:44 pm.
Shawn Norman Bonar, age 30, 1363 Layman Road, Vincent, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bonar
was arrested on Layman Road by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 29 Nov 06 at 10:46 pm.
