On 18 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Nicholas J. Graham, age 19, 190 Shay Ridge Road,
New Matamoras, for failure to control. Mr. Graham was traveling
on Archer’s Fork Road when his truck slid off the roadway
and struck an embankment. Mr. Graham reported minor injuries;
his vehicle sustained disabling damage.
On 18 Nov 06 a witness reported seeing a female
use her vehicle to drag a street sign out of the ground and
then place the sign in her vehicle. Identified by her license
plate, Melissa A. Tefft, age 29, 750 Covey Court, Belpre, admitted
to Deputy Sheriff Reynolds she took the sign to put her a friend’s
yard as a joke. In consequence, Deputy Reynolds requested a
summons for Ms. Tefft for theft.
On 18 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued
a citation to Donald C. Koelsch, age 46, 300 Fairview Lane,
Marietta, for traveling 59 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Morris
stopped Mr. Koelsch on State Route 60 in Muskingum Township.
On 18 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Terry M. Gibson Sr., age 46, 109 Washington Street, Marietta,
for OVI, having a weapon while under disability, possession
of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for not using
a turn signal. Mr. Gibson was stopped on Butler Street in Marietta
and observed to have bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcohol.
After Mr. Gibson performing poorly on field sobriety tests,
Deputy Mankins searched his vehicle and found marijuana and
paraphernalia as well as a twelve gauge shotgun. When transported
to the Washington County Jail Mr. Gibson tested .119% BAC.
On 18 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks arrested
Isaac W. Muntz, age 24, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 25, Marietta,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stopping Mr. Muntz for a traffic violation, Deputy Smeeks’ canine
indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A resultant
search yielded a small quantity of marijuana and a smoking
pipe.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Terry Mitchell Gibson Sr., age 46, 109 Washington Street,
Marietta, for OVI, having a weapon while under disability,
possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for
not using a turn signal, all misdemeanors. Gibson was arrested
near the intersection of Butler and Seventh Streets in Marietta
by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Nov 06 at 2:25 am.
Isaac William Muntz, age 24, 122 Tennis Center Drive, Marietta,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Muntz was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta
by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Nov 06 at 8:59 am.
Gary Eugene McDonald, age 52, 9184 State Route 78, Glouster,
for two counts of driving under a suspended license and for
giving false information to avoid a ticket, all misdemeanors.
McDonald was arrested near milepost twenty-four on US 50 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Nov 06 at 3:35 pm.
