On 4 Nov 06 Anthony M. Early, age 25, 908
Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, reported being assaulted by
Jason W. Edgar, age 30, 37607 State Route 7, Newport, at a
friend’s trailer that morning. Mr. Early categorized
the assault as unprovoked and he indicated he did not fight
in return. As a result, Mr. Edgar was charged with assault.
On 4 Nov 06 Charles D. Hearn, age 64, 2355
Reynolds Run Road, Newport, reported a large quantity of scrap
aluminum siding, soffit and fascia was stolen from his property
sometime over the past two days. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On 4 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded
to the scene of death of a seventy-two year old Whipple resident.
The woman’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.
On 4 Nov 06 Chris Miller, age 35, 50 Flint
Run Road, Waterford, reported being involved in an altercation
with a family member. Stemming from a Halloween prank gone
awry, Mr. Miller stated the fight continued for a short time
and he suffered swelling to the left eye. Mr. Miller declined
to pursue the matter further (1203).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Wesley Edgar, age 30, 37607 State Route 7, Newport,
for assault, a misdemeanor. Edgar turned himself in to Sgt.
Hiatt at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Norman
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Nov
06 at 2:20 pm.
Michael Duane Scoggan, age 22, 18155 State Route 550, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Scoggan was arrested on Eighth Street
in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 5 Nov 06 at 4:02 am.
William Andrew Domacasse, age 26, 107 Jet Star Drive Apt.
A, Hockingport, OH, for driving under a suspended license,
a misdemeanor. Domacasse was arrested on State Route 7 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 5 Nov 06 at 4:29 am.
