On 2 Nov 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued a citation to Kandi L. Loy, age 20, 811 Highland Avenue, New Martinsville, for traveling 81 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Morris stopped Ms. Loy on State Route 7 near milepost forty-three in Independence Township.

On 2 Nov 06 a twenty-nine year old Belpre resident reported receiving at her place of employment, twelve to fourteen harassing phone calls. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 2 Nov 06 Elizabeth A. Dovedot, age 81, 3885 Jackson Run Road, New Matamoras, reported writing a check for $750 to an individual claiming he was a friend of her nephew and that he needed the money to pay a towing bill. This case remains under investigation (1020).

On 2 Nov 06 Detective Parks issued a citation to George D. Smith II, age 20, 5820 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for failing to stop at a stop sign. Detective Parks stopped Mr. Smith at the intersection of Devol’s Dam Road and Chamberlain Drive in Muskingum Township.

On 2 Nov 06 Detective Parks issued a citation to Katharine J. Schwendeman, age 21, 324 Sixth Street, Marietta, for not wearing a seat belt. Detective Parks stopped Ms. Schwendeman at the intersection of Sandhill Road and State Route 7 in Marietta Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeremy Burgin Green, age 25, 551 College Parkway, Parkersburg, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. Green was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 06 at 2:00 am.

Ira Thomas Tabler Jr., age 41, PO Box 116, Stewart, for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for contempt of a court order, all misdemeanors. Tabler was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 06 at 3:45 am.

Carl E. Casto, age 34, 9581 New England Road, Stewart, for OVI, driving under an OVI suspended license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Casto was arrested near milepost six on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 06 at 5:15 am.

Daniel Owen Purdy, age 45, 911 Glendale Road, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Purdy turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Norman and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 06 at 5:57 pm.

Jeffrey Kirk Williams, age 41, 509 Eighth Street Apt. B, Williamstown, for driving under a suspended license, possessing an open container of alcohol and for speeding. Williams was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 06 at 6:54 pm.
