On 30 Oct 06 Deputy Mankins investigated the
report of a gunshot heard near 990 Dodd Run Road, Newport.
On an oil well road on the property Deputy Mankins discovered
Timothy Shaw, age 19, 2119 Pleasants Ridge Road, New Matamoras,
along with Brent M. Townsend, age 19, 213 Summit Street, Marietta,
whose truck was stuck in the mud. Both men were visibly intoxicated
and admitted consuming beer they brought with them. Mr. Townsend
also admitted firing a twenty gauge shotgun as the two waited
fort a friend to free his vehicle. As a result, Deputy Mankins
requested a summons for Mr. Shaw for underage consumption of
alcohol and for Mr. Townsend for underage consumption of alcohol
and for using a weapon while intoxicated.
On 30 Oct 06 an employee of B & N Coal,
State Route 821, Macksburg, reported steel rollers for fifteen
bulldozers were stolen shortly after dark the previous evening.
This case remains under investigation (945).
On 30 Oct 06 Jonathan Smith, age 33, 3950
Caywood Road, Marietta, reported during the night an unknown
suspect entered his vehicle and stole a compound bow and quiver,
valued at over $500. This case remains under investigation
(1203).
On 30 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to Thomas M. Emerick, age 37, 1421 Lancaster Street,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and for operating
a vehicle with expired registration. Deputy Evans stopped Mr.
Emerick on Gilman Avenue in Marietta.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Roger Lee Buck Jr., age 35, 204 Main Street
Apt. 2, New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Buck was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 06
at 12:05 am.
Justin Allen Harris, age 24, 404 Montgomery
Street, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license,
a misdemeanor. Harris was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 06 at 5:00 pm.
