On 17 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded
to the scene of death of an eighty-five year old Marietta resident.
The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.
On 17 Oct 06 the plant manager of Steel Dynamics,
833 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, reported a pallet containing
a large quantity of scrap steel was stolen from outside the
business during the previous evening. This case remains under
investigation (187).
On 17 Oct 06 Lt. Schuck issued a citation
to Keith A. Gearhart, age 44, 500 Oliver Road, Whipple, for
passing on a solid yellow line. Lt. Schuck stopped Mr. Gearhart
on Glendale Road in Marietta.
On 17 Oct 06 a thirty-six year old Marietta
resident reported her twelve year old son is constantly threatening
other family members. In a recent argument over the television
with his sister the juvenile stated he would break her neck
in her sleep. Adamant about leaving the home, the juvenile
was placed with his uncle for the night and issued a summons
to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly.
On 17 Oct 06 Matthew M. Sargent, age 30, 13700
State Route 339, Waterford, reported between 10 pm on 15 Oct
and 6:30 am on 16 Oct his sixty-five pound pull compound bow
was stolen from the back of his unlocked SUV. This case remains
under investigation (1299).
On 17 Oct 06 an employee of Alliance Petroleum
reported a Honda Fourtrax ATV was stolen from one of the company’s
well sites off Alexander Road in Lawrence Township. The ATV,
with the key hidden under the seat, was last seen at 1 pm on
14 Oct 06. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 17 Oct 06 April Runnion, age 39, 2264 Two
Mile Run Road, Cutler, reported when she returned home from
work that afternoon she found her two year old mixed black
Labrador deceased with what appeared to be a gunshot wound
under his right eye. This case remains under investigation
(1299).
On 17 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriffs Mankins and Smeeks
responded to a domestic violence complaint at 200 Brittigan
Circle, Marietta. Shanna L. Jewell, age 28, explained to the
Deputies her live-in boyfriend and father of her two children,
Kawika K. Williams, age 29, backhanded her across the face
during an argument over housework. Mr. Williams elaborated
that Ms. Jewell would not quit “running her mouth” about
a woman he slept with two years ago and he did backhand the
left side of her face. As a result Mr. Williams was arrested
for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County
Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Wesley L. Fullen, age 25, 2023 Bainsford Drive,
Columbus, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum $341.80.
Ronald L. Hornbeck, age 34, 3127 Youba Ridge Road, Coolville,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum $472.55.
Patricia A. Jones, 29, 134 Whipkey Drive, Waterford, for contempt
for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum $823.90.
Emery D. Mayle, age 51, North Liberty Street, Amesville, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum $720.73.
Donnie G. Snyder, age 46, 603B Main Street, Belpre, for contempt
for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum $354.90.
Rebekah A. Titus, age 24, 22 Powell Drive, Parkersburg, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum $696.27.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Lewis Lindsey II, age 30, 230 Henniger
Road, Lowell, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Lindsey was arrested on Franklin Street in Marietta by Probation
Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 Oct 06 at 3:25 pm.
Frederick Gale McKitrick, age 24, 740 Greene Street, Newport,
for driving under an OVI suspended license, possession of drug
paraphernalia, domestic violence and for two counts of driving
under an FRA suspended license, all misdemeanors. McKitrick
was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Sgt. Hiatt of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 06 at 5:25 pm.
Kawika Keone Williams, age 29, 200 Brittigan Circle, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 06 at 10:56 pm.
Tracy Denise Cousins, age 40, 1200 31st Street Apt. 1, Parkersburg,
for failure to reinstate her operator’s license and for
slow speed, both misdemeanors. Cousins was arrested in Belpre
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Oct 06 at 1:45 am.
