On 16 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Kristopher A. Regan, age 25, 6735 Walnut Drive,
Gates Mills, OH, for traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy
Smeeks stopped Mr. Regan on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner
Road in Warren Township.
On 16 Oct 06 Jason Barnett, age 32, 100 Indian
Run Road, Marietta, reported during the night an unknown suspect(s)
entered his Chevy Equinox and stole a dual monitor portable
DVD player and two DVD’s. This case remains under investigation
(1090).
On 16 Oct 06 an employee of the Stonebridge
Operating Corporation, Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, reported
when his crew arrived to service a lease oil well site on Bender
Road their approach to the well was impeded by a truck, a bulldozer
and a tractor. Deputy Sheriff Stackpole determined the dispute
was a civil matter involving the property owner.
On 16 Oct 06 Paul D. Wells, age 62, 565 Lang
Farm Road, Marietta, reported at approximately 4:00 that morning
an unidentified suspect entered his unlocked truck and stole
$100 in cash and a knife from the center console. This case
remains under investigation (296).
On 16 Oct 06 a fourteen year old Warren High
School student reported her purse containing a Tracphone, makeup
and her day planner was stolen from the girls’ locker
room between eight and nine that morning. This case remains
under investigation (1299).
On 16 Oct 06 Don Arbuckle, age 44, 22 Woodland
Road, Marietta, reported his son’s Jeep mountain bike
was stolen from the front of their residence sometime during
the past four days. This case remains under investigation (1299).
On 16 Oct 06 Mark W. Dunn, age 54, 65 Shady
Hill Road, Marietta, reported finding what appeared to be a
gunshot wound on the left side of his dog. Caring for the wound
himself, Mr. Dunn stated his dog injuries were not serious.
This case remains under investigation (296).
On 16 Oct 06 Vickie M. Thompson, age 23, 229
Main Street, Lowell, reported she believes her new roommate
stole a number of her checks and forged them at local businesses.
This case remains under investigation (296).
On 16 Oct 06 a member of the Newport Volunteer
Fire Department, 3850 State Route 7, Newport, reported the
same individual wrote the organization four bad checks totaling
$400 on 11 and 18 Sep 06. This case remains under investigation
(8411).
On 16 Oct 06 Heather Lang, age 31, 785 Bosner
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported being in fear for her safety when
her husband Timothy, age 29, raised a closed fist at her in
a threatening fashion. Mr. Lang’s action concluded an
argument during which he pushed his wife and threw her clothing
outside. In consequence, Mr. Lang was arrested for domestic
violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Angela D. Day, age 29, 565 BF Goodrich Road,
Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation by failing
to show proof of completing forty-five hours of community service
or to serve three days in jail.
Michael E. Kerns, age 31, 308 Gross Street, Marietta, for
failing to show proof of completing twenty-four hours of community
service.
Brent M. Radabaugh, age 28, 190 Brentwood Drive, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum $661.70.
James N. Carte, age 26, 116 Milltown Road, Newport, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the
sum $434.20.
Aaron W. Cain, age 25, 211 Fifth Street Apt. 4, Beverly, for
disorderly conduct by fighting on 16 Jul 06.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Matthew James Cornell, age 22, 124 Dean Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony.
Cornell was arrested at the Courthouse by Lt. Coppernoll of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 16 Oct 06 at 12:00 pm.
Christina Marie Hower, age 22, 98 ½ Willard Street,
Akron, for a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge
of failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines.
Hower was picked up at the Summit County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 16 Oct 06 at 1:40 pm.
Jessica Dawn Drake, age 18, 402 Jefferson Square, Marietta,
for robbery, a felony. Drake turned herself in to Patrolman
Newell at the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 16 Oct 06 at 2:55 pm.
Tabitha Dawn Way, age 25, 510 Carson Lane Apt. B, Belpre,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Way was
arrested in Barlow by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16
Oct 06 at 3:26 pm.
Justin David Anderson, age 30, Route 4 Box 56, Hurricane,
WV, for operating with an expired license, speeding and for
failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Anderson was arrested
near milepost forty-five on State Route 7 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 16 Oct 06 at 7:55 pm.
Jason Eugene Milliron, age 22, 728 Second Street, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Milliron was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 16 Oct 06 at 8:55 pm.
Timothy Nelson Lang, age 29, 785 Bosner Ridge Road, Lowell,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Lang was arrested in
Lowell by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 16 Oct 06 at 11:05 pm.
