On 10 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriffs Stackpole and
Reynolds responded to the scene of death of a fifty-five year
old Belpre resident. The man’s death appears natural;
no foul play is suspected.
On 10 Oct 06 Sharyn Blanchard, age 57, 13189
State Route 550, Fleming, reported after determining her Wesbanco
ATM card was missing she discovered the card was used in $1,977
worth of transactions since 25 Sep 06. This case remains under
investigation (945).
On 10 Oct 06 the parents of a sixteen year
old Washington County Career Center student reported they received
a phone call from their daughter at 6 pm informing them she
would not be coming back home. After being located at the skate
park in Marietta the juvenile was returned to her parents’ custody
and issued a summons to appear in Juvenile Court for being
unruly (1001, 1090).
On 10 Oct 06 Karena L. Coody, age 32, 740
Greene Street, Newport, reported the father of her two children,
Frederick G. McKitrick, age 24, 3010 Burnett Road, Cutler,
slapped her in the face and pulled her hair. Ms. Coody indicated
she was in fear for safety, as Mr. McKitrick has also abused
her in the past. Due to Mr. McKitrick’s absence from
the scene Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested a warrant for him
for domestic violence.
On 10 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks conducted
a traffic stop on Greene Street near Third for having fictitious
registration. The driver of the vehicle, Carla J. Masters,
age 22, 623 Montgomery Street Apt. A, Marietta, stated she
recently purchased the van and had yet to transfer the plates
from her other vehicle. Learning through Dispatch that Mrs.
Masters’ license was suspended, Deputy Smeeks placed
her under arrest. As the passengers exited the van for further
questioning Deputy Smeeks observed a marijuana blunt fall from
the lap of Cadarius Jerrell Holland, age 20, 623 Montgomery
Street Apt. A, Marietta. For his safety Deputy Smeeks patted
down Mr. Holland and found a pair of brass knuckles in Mr.
Holland’s pockets. He was arrested for carrying a concealed
weapon and possession of drugs and along with Mrs. Masters
was transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Marcus Maurice Kimbrough, age 18, 112 Sunset
Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Kimbrough was picked up at the Wood County (WV)
Jail by Probation Officer Zimmerman and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 06 at 2:20 pm.
Larry Joe Wilson, age 44, Marietta, for failing to file city
income tax, a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 06
at 7:15 pm.
