On 8 Oct 06 Roy Walker, 125 Saint Albans Court,
Irmo, SC, reported in excess of twenty feet of half inch and
one inch copper water piping was stolen from his vacant residence
at 1112 Lancaster Street, Marietta. Between noon the previous
day and noon that day an unknown suspect(s) cut through a screen
door then proceeded to the home’s basement where it appears
a bolt cutter was used to remove the piping. The main water
valve was not shut off, causing substantial damage to the finished
basement. This case remains under investigation (1293).
On 8 Oct 06 Sgt. Underwood was responding
to a disturbance at 95 Lang Farm Road, Marietta when he encountered
the subjects involved on State Route 676. Sgt. Underwood noticed
Deidra Wriston, age 25, had a bloody lip and Robert Carpenter,
age 32, had numerous scratches on his neck and both individuals
were intoxicated. Surmising through interviews that the suspects
engaged in a skirmish fueled by their inebriety, Sgt. Underwood
arrested Mr. Carpenter and Ms. Wriston for disorderly conduct
by fighting and transported them to the Washington County Jail.
On 8 Oct 06 Dody Drayer, age 31, 230 BF Goodrich
Road, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect(s) kicked in the
door to the garage at her vacant home at 75 BF Goodrich Road
and stole a box containing various hand tools. Also entering
the home through a cellar door, the thieves removed a majority
of the copper piping from the basement. This case remains under
investigation (1203).

Joshua Cleveland Sinkfield, age 34, 1202 County House Lane
Apt. H, Marietta, for obstructing official business and breach
of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Sinkfield was arrested
on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 8 Oct 06 at 12:29 am.
Jennifer Marcella McGowan, age 22, 707 Sixth Street, Marietta,
for obstruction of justice, a misdemeanor. McGowan was arrested
at the Double L in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 8 Oct 06 at 2:05 am.
Christopher Blaine Ford, age 31, 1365 Browns Road, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ford was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simons and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 8 Oct 06 at 4:08 am.
Vickie Marie Thompson, age 23, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 40,
Marietta, for failure to appear, a felony. Thompson was arrested
on State Route 60 in Lowell by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Oct 06 at 12:30 pm.
Michael Clint Dotson, age 29, 116 Sixth Street, Williamstown,
for burglary, a felony. Dotson was arrested on Franklin Street
in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
8 Oct 06 at 7:35 pm.
