On 3 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Spencer responded to the scene of a suicide attempt at a residence on Radabaugh Road in Marietta. Leaving a note stating he ingested thirty Xanax pills, the thirty-seven year old was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

On 3 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to a sixteen year old Marietta resident for only having one license plate on his vehicle and for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Mankins stopped the juvenile at the intersection of Warrior Drive and State Route 550 in Barlow Township.

On 3 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to Benjamin Vanfossen, age 23, 3660 State Route 26, Marietta, for failure to control. Deputy Stackpole issued the citation after investigating a crash on 9 Sep 06, the result of which was Mr. Vanfossen’s overturned Jeep CJ-7 on Whipple Run Road in Salem Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kimberly Jo Kelly, age 41, 1378 Stone Quarry Road, Fleming, for OVI and for not having license plates, both misdemeanors. Kelly was arrested on Gilman Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 06 at 2:55 am.

Kevin Matthew Wroe, age 33, 237 Lake Washington Drive, Parkersburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Wroe was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 06 at 3:15 am.
