On 1 Oct 06 Deputy Sheriff Morris arrested Damian L. Brooker, age 44, 711 Third Street, Marietta, for OVI. Stopping Mr. Brooker for multiple traffic infractions on Waterford Road, Deputy Morris noticed Mr. Brooker had bloodshot eyes, an odor of alcohol and slurred his speech. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests Mr. Brooker was transported to the Washington County Jail where he tested .190% BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Paul Kenneth Christopher, age 37, 1516 Barth Road, Belpre, for a felony charge of OVI. Christopher was arrested on Virginia Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct 06 at 12:25 am.

Phillip Conrad Hughes, age 21, 1001 Front Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hughes was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct 06 at 2:01 am.

Steven Donald Lent, age 48, 3835 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, a fugitive from justice. Lent was arrested near the intersection of Seventh and Wooster Streets in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct 06 at 3:10 am.

Melinda Dawn Adelson, age 24, 1330 ½ Dillaway Street, Parkersburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Adelson was arrested in Belpre by Sgt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct 06 at 3:30 pm.

Willard Garden Bush II, age 29, 90 Dye Street, Newport, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Bush was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct 06 at 10:05 pm.
