On 30 Sep 06 the president of Double L Construction,
4795 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, reported miscellaneous scrap
metal, including two eight foot I beams, were stolen from property
the business owns at 6970 State Route 821, Whipple. This case
remains under investigation (1293).
On 30 Sep 06 Joshua J. Miller, age 28, 159
Second Lane, Belpre, was arrested at his residence by Sgt.
Underwood for an active warrant. While Mr. Miller was en route
to jail his live-in girlfriend granted permission to Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes to search the residence. Deputy Rhodes discovered
a pill bottle containing Xanax hidden in a vent in the bathroom.
When questioned, Mr. Miller admitted possessing the pills a
friend gave him for disposal.
On 30 Sep 06 the owner of B & J Carryout,
38710 State Route 7, Newport, reported two or three checks,
believed to have been stolen in a burglary two days ago, were
forged and used to purchase items at the store. This case remains
under investigation (1203).
On 30 Sep 06 Scott T. Teters, age 35, 300
McNeal Road, Waterford, reported observing bullet damage on
an internet access box as well as five bullet marks on a water
tank on Lowell Hill Road. This case remains under investigation
(200).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William Logan Schofield, age 45, 29341 Sharon Hollow Road,
Portland, OH, for a felony charge of failure to appear and
misdemeanor charges of driving under an FRA suspended license,
not stopping at a red light, failure to comply with the order/signal
of an officer, failure to appear and assault. Schofield was
arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Fields
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 06 at 4:58 am.
Pauline Renee McCoy, age 22, 903 Cisler Lane, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McCoy was arrested at her
residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 06
at 12:55 pm.
Molly Marie Azbell, age 35, Old McArthur Road, Logan, OH,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Azbell was picked up
at the Southeastern Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 06
at 5:10 pm.
Joshua James Miller, age 28, 159 Second Lane, Belpre, for
contempt of a court order and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors.
Miller was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Underwood of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 06 at 10:46 pm.
Damian Louis Brooker, age 44, 711 Third Street, Marietta,
for OVI, a misdemeanor. Brooker was arrested on Waterford Road
in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 06 at 11:20 pm.
