On 26 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins investigated a burglary at the home of Carlton D. Theobald, age 74, 850 Jett Hill Road, Reno. Occurring between 10 am and 3 pm, the suspects forced open a rear window and stole a twenty gauge shotgun and a toolbox containing a checkbook and numerous bank papers. The suspects are believed to be traveling in a silver Dodge van with a red pin stripe and with West Virginia registration beginning with 3CK. Please report pertinent information regarding this vehicle and/or crime to the Sheriff’s Office at (740) 376-7070.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeffrey William Welsch, age 21, 607 Elm Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Welsch was picked up at the Wood County, WV Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 06 at 3:25 pm.

Sharon Renee Alleman, age 48, 1211 Burnett Road, Cutler, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Alleman was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 06 at 11:05 pm.
