On 18 Sep 06 an officer with the US Forest
Service reported at some point during the past ninety days
an unknown suspect(s) entered three of the agency’s storage
areas at 27750 State Route 7, Marietta. At this time it is
not known if any property is missing. This case remains under
investigation (296).
On 18 Sep 06, after a neighbor returned to
her the purse she found in a ditch, Johnna Tuten, age 43, 120
Center Street, Waterford, reported the interior of three vehicles
in her driveway were ransacked and her Alltell cellular phone
was stolen. This case remains under investigation (500).
On 18 Sep 06 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle whose registered owner, Jerlus
R. Lester, age 52, 138 South Fifth Street, Columbus, had a
suspended license as well as an active warrant in Belmont County.
Mr. Lester was arrested for both offenses and transported to
the Washington County Jail.
On 18 Sep 06 Clifford Winstanley, age 79,
215 Caywood Road, Marietta, reported that on 12 Sep 06 an upstairs
window at his home was pried open. Inspecting his belongings,
Mr. Winstanley noticed the lock was broken of his gun cabinet
and various rolls of uncirculated coins, valued at over $150,
were missing. This case remains under investigation (1097).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Thomas Lewis Gregory, age 57, 520 Ellis Avenue,
Parkersburg, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Gregory was
arrested at the Courthouse by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 06 at 10:15 am.
Jerlus Ray Lester, age 52, 138 South Fifth Street, Columbus,
for driving under a suspended license and for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Lester was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 06
at 12:00 pm.
Ada Lynn Elizabeth Mayle, age 61, 201 State Street, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Mayle was arrested on Front
Street in Marietta by Detective Tilton of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 Sep 06 at 12:25 pm.
Melissa Dawn Warrener, age 26, 710 Front Street Apt. 12, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Warrener was arrested at
her residence by Detective Tilton of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 Sep 06 at 12:25 pm.
Douglas William Crooks II, age 26, 102 Harmar Street Apt.
E, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor.
Crooks turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office to Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes and was processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 Sep 06 at 1:20 pm.
Jacob Michael Vickers, age 54, 1280 Hanna Road, Marietta,
for illegally cultivating drugs and for breaking and entering,
both felonies. Vickers was arrested at his residence by Detective
Alkire of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 06 at 5:02
pm.
Felicia Christine Jackson, age 25, Ridgewood Court Apt. B,
Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested at the
Adult Parole Authority Office by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 06
at 5:15 pm.
Roger Aaron Adams Jr., age 23, 416 Main Street, Belpre, for
criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. Adams was arrested in Belpre
by Patrolman Clevenger of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 06
at 8:50 pm.
Dallas Willey Farnsworth, age 33, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was
arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 Sep 06 at 11:00 pm.
